I'll be interested to see if he stays at 230llbs+ or goes back to 215llbs ish.

Pretty sure he doesn't hit harder at the higher weight but he does gas quicker...

    For the REAL heavyweight championship.

That's the belt that Ali wore...according to the WBA.

Trevor Bryan looks like the clone of 2000 era fringe contender Kirk Johnson minus the cane rows.

That's about all I have to say in this thread.

This actually would be a more challenging opponent than I was expecting. He has fought brutal competition since 2018 and is coming off back to back stoppages. No rational person would criticize this, but of course the haters on here will do their thing always. ...

Wilder takes him out easy especially if Bryan shows up out of shape again.

Bryan getting his cash out fight? The dream has been achieved.

This is a fine confidence builder for Wilder after some tough fights. Hopefully after this one he steps it up again.

Look at his activity AFTER the McCall fight. Fought those guys, but fought three i the span of 5 months post McCall. You think Wilder will try that level of activity? Nope.

Those types of fights are acceptable when done in the manner he did. I actually wish more fighters took stay-busy fights often to keep sharp.

BTW, after those guys, Lewis fought Morrison, Mercer, Golota, Akinwande, Mavrovic, Holy x2.... Wilder will fight scrubs and hope for a title shot. Bet on it.

 This is just BS dude. We're supposed to give Wilder MORE credit because he took two beatings from a bigger guy? GTFO with that....

It's ok after 2 back to back beatings from Fury. Would have been fine after the second Fury fight.

Nothing wrong with the fight if it happens. He's allowed a tune up.

Waste of time. Unlikely to incorporate any new twists to his arsenal as chubby Bryan will most likely go out very early from the first couple of punches.

It's definitely not a waste of time. It would be foolish to step in with a live opponent in his next bout. Bryan is a fake world champion. Probably a top 40 level opponent. He's bad, but not that bad. Let him knock out him first and then he can maybe be involved in some decent bouts that benefit from a Wilder who has rebuilt his confidence somewhat.

Although I doubt he will ever be the same, and he might be damaged after that beating he took.

He only has a few fights left in him. This would be a waste of time. Fight a contender, not the 31st ranked guy at box rec.

If he fights a top dog, that could be the final bout of his career. It would be completely foolish and an unnecessary risk.

It could be the difference between one bout and a potential 6 or so that he has left.

It's the smart move by Deontay, he needs a swift KO to regain his confidence and getting a mandatory slot on top of that can't hurt either.
