Sure it's open to question. Wilder doesn't have the wins to lock himself in the top 3

Not sure if you followed boxing or not in the last ten years, but if you did you'll know he was literally ranked in the top 3 the whole era between Wlad losing his championship and Usyk winning his.

I don't think he was ever ranked outside the top 5 from the moment he won his belt right up until he lost to Parker.

Like I said, it's not something that you really explain, it's something you had to live through.

It isn't open to question, it's literally a fact of the era, when was he ever outside of the top 3 in between Wlad losing his championship and Usyk winning his?

People subjectively thinking he was top 3 does not make it so.

He could have proved it by beating Povetkin or Parker but he didn't

Well yes, people subjectively ranking him top 3 for the entirety of the timescale in question does make it so. That's literally how it works.

There wasn't one moment between the reign of Wlad and the reign of Usyk that Wilder wasn't top 3. Not a single moment.

You yourself will have considered him one of the top 3 if you followed boxing at the time.

I wasn't talking about 2017? I never said that? I said prime vs prime, and then I said now with how washed Wilder is I doubt he could even beat an old Wladamir.

It doesn't mean they were correct in their rating. I don't have him top 3 for that period

    Maybe not even top 5

He was ranked top 3/5 by the governing bodies is what you mean. Victories over 2 or 3 out of Povetkin, Parker, Pulev, Andy Ruiz, Whyte might have bolstered that position but he wouldn't have gone near them, I've said it on here before I think Del Boy would have ironed him out.

Well yes it does, since he spent the entirety of the time ranked top 3.

At the time you did have him top 3.

So do you think Wilder beat all the guys I just mentioned? I don't think your understanding what people are getting at, just because someone ranked him for example number 3 does not mean he had the beating of everyone ranked lower than 3, He wasn't 3rd best just because someone put his name on a list, in my opinion all the names I mentioned were likely to have beat him but let's be honest team bomb squad wouldn't have let them anywhere near.

None of that matters. None of it. Wilder was top 3 during the entirety of the era between Wlad and Usyk.
