‘5 lousy fights’ - Usyk outboxed AJ in back to back fights winning what should have been comfortable decisions. I hardly call that lousy. Dubois is also no slouch and Usyk made him quit. Usyk has shown he is elite at heavyweight and based on their respective performances at world level, most would favour him to beat Wilder (now and in his prime).

‘Strong haters of Wilder’ - the guy is a very good and exciting fighter as most will agree on here. However pointing out his paper thin resume is not hating, simple as. Usyk’s best wins at heavyweight are better than Wilder’s, and that’s without considering his stellar CV at cruiserweight.

There probably are a few that genuinely hate him...

Not me, I've been mostly disappointed - that he didn't step up sooner and more often; that he claimed to be the best whilst having a second rate resume; the talk of wanting a body on his record; etc.

At times he's been exciting - usually when he's out of his depth a bit... Ortiz 1, the first two Fury fights (#3 less so, for me) and the Parker fight... The fights where he's in trouble, but you wonder if he's going to pull out a KO punch and win after all.
The majority of his fights being against no hopers and journeymen held limited interest for me - he was obviously going to win them, that's no fun to watch.

Thats what made the Fury fights fun... He was getting dominated, but a perfect punch or two could've won it for him - the knock-downs in 1 showed that and despite the domination in 2 there's always a threat until the stoppage... By 3, it was becoming obvious that Fury was just too good for him, and that I'd probably overrated Wilder quite a bit.

I'm glad he fought Parker - that was entertaining.
I hope he fights someone else decent, so we can have another tense bout (regardless of who wins, though I have my doubts Wilder beats many contenders now - and I don't think he's shot just yet, he was just outclassed last time out)... Zhang would be interesting, probably too much for Wilder but you just never know.
