Wilder vs. AJ or Wilder vs.Whyte?

Who said they don't want him to face AJ next? I do, very much so but Wilder is demanding outrageous money, it's called pricing yourself out, FFS he demanded 7-10 $ mil to face Whyte. Your boy is delusional.

 

What did Wilder ask for to face Joshua? You said Wilder was already pricing himself out of a Joshua fight.

Of course everyone wants to see Wilder and Joshua, since the are by far the top 2 fighters in the division. But, It's been obvious since Joshua got his IBF title off Martin that Hearn has no interest in matching Joshua with Wilder.

 

All that post says is Hearn wants Wilder to fight Whyte first, which proves my point that Joshua's team is the only side insisting one of the combatants fight someone else first.

Either side can ask whatever they want ... then you negotiate.

But the first step in any serious negotiation is never "I'll need you to fight someone else FIRST."

Again, the person putting up the roadblocks is Hearn.

How is that negotiating a Wilder-Joshua fight?

 

I like Joshua. And I'd probably make him the favorite over Wilder, although I think Wilder is MUCH hungrier at this point and could end it at any time.

But you're right. It is obvious Hearn has been pushing a Wilder-Joshua to the back burner and only started talking about it recently.

Hell, after Joshua beat Wlad, Hearn had Joshua talking about a possible Shannon Briggs fight in the postfight interview and Max Kellerman had to bring up the name Wilder to him. To that point, they clearly never seriously discussed fighting Wilder even among themselves. Briggs though?

 

Hearn used this supposed demand of a 50-50 split as a way to say the fight will never happen... He didn't even mention a counter offer. Everything he said in that link was designed to cull the demand of the fight.
Plus , i never heard Wilder saying he'd only fight if he gets half the pot.

 

I firmly believe if Wilder was reasonable about this he would get AJ next but when there's talk of 50-50 and you demanding 7-10 $ mil to fight Dillian Whyte you know one side is being completely delusional and idiotic about this whole thing. And what did he say last night: A juicing J? Yeah that's not how you negotiate...

I don't expect this fight to happen next, hell I don't even expect it to happen next summer.

Keep in mind, Charles Martin got $8.5 million to fight Joshua. And Martin won a vacant title on an injury. Made no successful defenses. Was on TV maybe twice. And dropped off the face of the earth.

What does a Wilder get if Martin got $8.5 million, and the entire Cardiff stadium is yelling Wilder's name to be Joshua's next fight?

 

AJ had no title when he fought Martin, that's kind of irrelevant.
Wilder deserves double or triple of his highest earned purse, which puts him at 5$ mil and fight AJ in the UK (which he agreed to last night).

 

I rate rudenko higher than any of wilders fights.

 

Wilder vs Whyte should be next. Easy night for Wilder. A shot Helenius had Whyte wobbled but didn't follow up.
Wilder would KO Whyte with a showreel stoppage and that would take care of one of the Hearn boys.
That fight would be the appetizer with the main course being Wilder beating AJ.

 

I can see both sides of this argument, but as I've said before, for this fight to be the biggest it can be it has to be in the UK. I don't think even the most harden wilder fan could deny that. If you accept that as being true it makes a UK summer fight really hard to make. The biggest sport in the world is having the world cup in the summer. Any promoter would be stupid to attempt to make a stadium fight in the UK before the draw for that is made. I don't think a lot of people understand how much that could effect ppv in Europe

 

Wilder/Joshua obviously.... But there's no reason Wilder shouldn't fight Whyte for $4 million if he's going to be facing the likes of Washington and Stiverne still.
