Wilder vs Arreola What was wrong with Arreola? Seriously?

    Arreola was famous for being a strong comforward pressure fighter that gave it everything he has.

    The first round against Wilder he just holds a high guard and throws a single badly timed jab.

    The rest of the fight when he does land on Wilder he seems to throw weak arm punches that seem to have nothing behind them.

    What was wrong with him? What was he thinking?

    Don't know what was wrong with him, but his punch power was non existent. Far weaker than i'd ever seen from him. Maybe he was intimidated, I don't know !

    This is the guy who probably should have lost to Kassi and Kauffman and went life and death with Curtis Harper... Very clear Arreola was shot and didn't present the kind of threat that he did in his prime, which is exactly why Wilder chose to fight him.

    He was overrated during his prime and this wasn't even prime Arreola, he was shot to ****. Arreola was bad but the way he very luckily scraped a draw vs Kassi and got the nod over Kaufmann it was clear he was shot.

    He was rocked and hurt in 2 of his 3 fights prior to the first Stiverne fight by Friday Ahunanya and Eric Molina respectively, took a 12 round pounding from Stiverne, then he secured himself a rematch against Stiverne by blasting out hype job of the century Seth Mitchell who purchased his chin from Roy Jones' World of Glass, lost the rematch by 6th round TKO, went life-and-death and barely scrapped by 12-3 Curtis Harper, then arguably lost to Kassi and Kauffman (I thought Kauffman definitely beat him). He was shot to bits.

    I heard Wilder sent Chris alabama strippers before the fight as well. Can anyone confirm those rumors???

    End thread. Spot on. Exactly why the WBC kept him around in their top 15 and why Wilder's team was trying to make this fight come hell or highwater for a year. Just a punching bag at this point. Never should of received this fight but hey it's Wilder so what can you expect
