List of some of Derek's fights: - Tyson Fury x 3 - Joseph Parker x 2 - Dillian Whyte x 2 - Kubrat Pulev x 2 - Vitali Klitschko - David Haye - Agit Kabayel - Gerald Washington - Robert Helenius and Oleksandr Usyk 3 of Wilder's 4 losses are against Chisora's competition.
He would do better because Chisora lost every single big fight of the bunch he is a combined 0-12 against his best opponents. Chisora also lost to Helenius who Wilder beat in the worst form of his life. All Wilder needs is 1 win against a top opponent to outperform Chisora. He will probably get at least 2-4. So Wilder will get more wins. Wilder would not do better against Usyk or neccessarily put on a better fight against any individual. Thats a different discussion. But he just needs to knockout someone from the elite group to have more wins. And he should get multiple people from Chisoras better SOS.
Wilder would have less defeats but there is the durability factor which is something that makes it interesting. Wilder took a lot of punishment and wasn't the same Chisora lasted a while Think Wilder beats Whyte and Pulev. Might catch Parker once Think Wilder could potentially catch Haye or Vitali
Good point. Some guys are never the same after ONE war. Chisora deserves a ton of respect for taking on all challengers and more or less being the same fighter for 15 years. Top tier gatekeeper.
I wouldn't compare the Helenius who fought Chisora with the version who fought Wilder. It's also a bit controversial to say that Helenius won that fight.
This forum is lowkey delusional about UK and US fighters. I had someone tell me that Derek Chisora was of a similar level to Shawn Porter a few weeks back
When Usyk moved up to Heavyweight I had a debate with somebody about how he would get on. I argued he would do well. I gave up when he confidently predicted that Usyk wouldn't beat Dillian Whyte.
Haha. Im not gonna lie I didnt think Usyk would be Joshua or Fury but against Whyte and Ruiz I would have picked Usyk
