Wilder has power, but everyone can see his punches coming he is too predictable.

Very entertaining fight. (All of Wilder's fights are entertaining.) It was Johann's big chance. Fighting for the title. He fought his absolute best. Impressed everyone. If Johann was fighting a lesser champ, like Andy Ruiz did in New York, maybe he'd have won.

Still, Johann came off that performance, went to Finland, and knocked out the then-undefeated (and current WBA mandatory challenger) Robert Helenius.

Unfortunately for Duhaupas, he ran into the two biggest PED users of the last decade in Povetkin and Big Baby Miller. Povetin blew is drug test for Stiverne and Johann literally got off the couch to take a hefty payday on 24 hours notice and lost to the juiced Povetkin. Then he got thrown in with Big Baby Miller, who sweated steroids he was so loaded with them. Those three beatings sort of took everything out of Duhaupas.

But that night against Wilder was a highly entertaining scrap.

It's always been more difficult to hold on to a title than it is to win one. Because every defense is the biggest night of the challenger's life.

Couple reasons Duhaupas lasted as long as he did:

-he's got a good chin, and keeps it tucked in well
-he fought the whole fight behind a tight high guard that Wilder found hard to penetrate
-he kept walking forward jabbing which forced Wilder to punch without setting his feet
-any time he got hurt he'd ride with the follow up shots, which took the sting off them
-Wilder isn't as hard a puncher as advertised

You left off, and then Wilder danced like a spastic while you flapped your hands together and whooped dribbling into your bib.

Eric Molina lasting almost 9 rounds is still the bigger marvel to me. That man has no mandible.

Impressive fight from Duhaupas has had couple other good fights too. Sometimes challengers rise to occasion and put memorable challenge against champion despite losing.
