Molina might not be a top-shelf challenger, but he is a puncher ... he's hurt everyone he's fought and has a good KO percentage.

    Stiverne was a puncher, too.

Arreola went life and death with a novice club fighter in his fight after, probably should have lost, didn't show to strong a beard in that one,and he got a gift draw last time too. Leaves even bigger question marks over Stivernes legitimacy considering how dog**** awful Arreola has been. Oh right "Stiverne ruined him". being a fat mess ruined him

Malik Scott took a disgracefully blatant dive, making it all the more humiliating for him when Charlie Zelenoff of all people showed a better chin than him when he took bombs off Wilder and walked away, we are talking about internet punchline here, so either Scott has to admit he took a dive, or admit he showed a worse chin than CHARLIE ZELENOFF!!!!

Now you're trying to big up a KO win over Seth Mitchell as deserving a title shot? Why are you so desperate to defend Wilder?

    Give it up

Stiverne had been knocked out before........................wasn't really a top fighter.....................Wilder was supposed to fight Arreola since he looked to bad in his last fight, but Wilder was afraid of him, afterall, Arreola can punch hard whenever he trains......................I guess Sconiers was too busy, so he picked the next bum.......................Wilder does not have to fight his mandatory, watch, after this fight is over, Wilder will refuse to fight Povetkin or Vlad.....................Povetkin is Wilder's mandatory, but the rules are different for Wilder....................Vlad fights his mandatories...............

For ****'s sake, we're talking about a supposed WBC champ and olympic bronze medalist, in his 30s and at more than 30 pro fights.

Also keep in mind how "the champ" refused 10 millions to fight his mandatory challenger Povetkin, to fight that dupaus guy.

You know, when you say it like that, it is almost (almost!) like you believe that he should be fighting someone better for his second title defense.

That's exactly the point :thumbsup It's a farce that a so called champ and olympic medalist and ****ing 30 years old keeps fighting total tomato cans and avoiding any even decent challenger

Proved your points? :rofl You mean the 40 year old Golota wasn't actually a shell of himself when Austin beat him because 4 years earlier, let me just repeat that, FOUR years earlier, he lost a close decision to Ruiz and 6 months prior to that (which makes it 4.5 years lol) he lost another close one to Byrd (both decisions being considered controversial)?

And during that time between losing to Ruiz and Austin he was knocked out in a round by Lamon Brewster, took 23 months off and came back and beat the 21-13-1 tomato can Jeremy Bates, and then 4 months later beat Kevin McBride who had just been stopped in 2 by Sopranos wannabe tomato can Mike Mollo and who in his next fight was whooped by 20-29-2 CW Zack Page whom he outweighed by almost 80lbs, and would go 1-3 in his next 4 fights, the lone win a SD against a 15-3 nobody who never beat no one? The same McBride who lost to every decent fighter he fought?

McBride was stopped in 5 by the 4-6-2 scrub Louis Monaco, whose record now reads 16-35-5

Stopped in 9 by feather fist Axel Schulz

Stopped in 3 by 15-16 Michael Murray who is 1-17 in his last 18 fights, the solitary win coming against guess who? Yep, Kevin McBride. :rofl

Stopped in 5 by DaVarryl Williamson

Stopped in 2 by Mike Mollo

Stopped in 4 by Mariusz Wach.

And outpointed by Matt Skelton and natural CWs Zack Page and Tomasz Adamek.

    McBride was f*cking awful.

The only decent opponent McBride ever beat was a shot to sh*t Mike Tyson. Tyson was my favourite fighter when I was a teen, as he was for god knows how many of millions in his heyday. I was a big Golota fan when he was at his peak too. I know a shot fighter when I see one and both of them were shot.

Then next time out Golota won a UD over Mike Mollo. Mollo is and always has been a scrub, neither him nor McBride last more than a couple of rounds (at best) against a prime Golota and neither fight is remotely competitive.

A ''title fight''? For the vacant WBC United States (USNBC) heavyweight title? :rofl Get out of here you clown.

Golota was stopped in 5 by Adamek the following year after getting blown out by Austin and he looked about as shot as any fighter I've seen. He'd been looking bad for years. The physical decline from how he looked in his prime was shocking. But by your logic he can't have been shot because it was only 11 months later. :rofl

Stiverne didn't just suffer a flash off balance KD after dominating the fight like Pulev did against Abel or Jennings did against Tupou, he was being totally out boxed for most of the fight by a 40 year old Austin and made to look terrible. He looked so bad that many were saying he made old man Austin look like the reincarnation of a prime Larry Holmes. That's how bad he looked. Stiverne got a ton of sh*t for his performance from fans at the time. Even members of the commentary team were scathing of him. And even he was very disappointed with how bad he looked. :patsch

''The only guy he [Stiverne] has on his resume is Chris Arreola. That's it! And then I got to give my man Ray Austin some credit. He was 40 something and still whipping his ass all the way until he got clipped in the 11th round (actually it was the 10th). And a guy that's 40 something staying in there.. If Stiverne was the real deal he didn't suppose to stay in there that long with him.''

    --Deontay Wilder :rofl

Agreed. Golota wasn't even in his prime vs Byrd and Ruiz.

This is in response to you and Serge.

Only in boxing forum can you find such irrational and revisionist history. A proven contender (A) beats a proven contender (B). Proven contender (B) goes on to decline. Suddenly proven contender B isn't worthy. Your kind downplay real wins and equal them to patently absurd scenario's like Zelenoff etc, coming up with every unprovable, irrational explanation in the process, like a "dive", or like trash talk another fighter used against their opponent in the lead up to a fight. It's really sad. I'm not going to go on and on in defense of a fighter I'm not a big fan of (Wilder), but the hate and downplaying of contender on contender action is really just an insult to boxing in general and rational thought in particular. Whatever inanities you use to try to downplay the victories of fighters you don't like (Wilder) can be used to downplay the victories of a fighter you do like. It's why you see stupid flame wars on here all the time like between MVC and Fury each using stupid things to discredit the fighter they don't like and prop up the fighter they do like
