https://metro.co.uk/2017/10/29/deon...ony-joshua-in-dillian-whyte-contract-7035557/ Hearn offered Whyte to Wilder. According to this report from the UK, Wilder said he would do it if guaranteed AJ fight if he beat Whyte. Eddie says no way — responding directly to Wilder’s demand. “It doesn’t work that way.”
That report seemed to contradict itself. Apparently Hearn stated it wasn't guaranteed Wilder would face Joshua if he won and thwn he stated the winner would face Joshua. Not sure that report can be trusted. The other thing is Hearn offered the Joshua fight to wilder recently we know that as a fact. So the point is mute. Also Hearn is a promoter, it's Joshua and his team that say who they want to fight.
It was reported everywhere. The reports all say “Wilder says he’ll fight Whyte on your terms if he gets AJ next and Eddie responded, very publicly, ‘It doesn’t work like that.’” Just as I said he did. More recently Hearn offered a contract that did not said “we will give you this flat fee to fight to fight AJ in the UK” and sent a contract — which did not say the fight would be next, did not say it would be in 2018 (no date nor guarantee that it woud be the next fight for AJ, just at some point in the future), had a rematch clause for AJ if he lost but not the other way around. Wilder said “It has to be next and the rematch clause has to be equal or no rematch clause.” He also previously said he’d take a 20-80 split as long as it was reversed if he won, no matter what the split. AJ said this a couple of weeks ago when asked about his fans wanting him to fight Wilder: “Let them train to be a fighter and fight Wilder. It’s easy talking about. It’s another thing doing it.” Wow — “I don’t wanna fight him — you fight him.” https://www.apnews.com/ab17ca2dd4924f22b0dd0e9ba02654c3
We could go round in circles. http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/a-brief-history-of-anthony-joshua-vs-deontay-wilder-not-happening/ Just looking at Joshua's resume, what he has achieved in his career and risks he's taken. I think it's obvious who wants the fight.
Look at his words. The fact that Wilder agreed to take the flat fee if the fight was NEXT. Joshua probably does want the fight. Eddie has another agenda.
Seems to me anytime anything Wilder is announced most of the forum is against it. Remember when Wilder would never be a legitimate contender? I could go through listing how many times youse have been wrong starting there. We could all go looking at old posts for how often you've been wrong, but we both know that makes no difference. You're dishonest about your opinion aren't you? How else can you explain being so wrong so often at every turn and still be a naysaying ****?
