agree, wlad didnt throw an agreesive punch for nearly all fight and people think fury is invincible, wilder will be swinging right hooks all night and one will land eventully and fury hasnt exactly got a granite chin
Wilder is a very, very flawed fighter. The thing is though there isn't anyone around right now who you'd guarentee has the skillset to expose him. If there was a Vitali Klitschko or prime Wlad or Lewis around they would mop him up in a couple of rounds. But Joshua is slow, is stiff, has sketchy stamina and can be hurt Fury is coming back off being an alcolholic and even in his prime doesn't have power to end the fight early so has to stay in with a danger man. Like don't get me wrong they could beat him but but he's got things to cause both of them problems too so it's a coin toss really.
If this comes off, fair play to Fury for having nuts of steel – but this is madness. 3 year layoff, dropping 8-9 stone, will have only had 2 bouts under his belt with a new trainer, 2 bouts against lesser opposition in Seferi and Pianeta to then jump in with Deontay Wilder…. All within the space of 6 months since first entering the ring again. Mental.
Errrrr Ortiz who is a top 5 HW He would chin Whyte or Parker let’s put it that way. Hearn is afraid of Wilder Also look at the manner of his KOs they come very clean. Like he is using a solid steel reinforced baseball bat to hit his opponents. He has the kind of clean KO power that ends fights very quickly after he lands. Unlike AJ, Parker, Takam or Whyte for example.
What happened at the weekend? Which led to the whole country talking about every other heavyweight bar one Tyson Fury. What happens next? Tyson releases something to try and get to the forefront of everyone’s lips again. That’s all this is here IMO.
Sky reporting it’s 99% done. Are they **** stirring so Warren and Fury fall flat on their face? Or is it really 99% done? I hope it is and then I think we get AJ v the winner in April.
I have no idea what to believe these days. Totally surprised this fight is being mentioned never mind being made. If it isn't smoke and mirrors, I think it's a stupid move from wilder's team. There's no way a 75% fit Tyson fury lets wilder anywhere near him. Wilder hasn't shown me his footwork and balance are anywhere near good enough. If he lands a Hail Mary it's lights out, but that's a huge if. Wilder's twice as lightly to beat Joshua and will probably receive four times the amount of money. Why jeopardise that mega fight?
Needs uncle Peter back in his corner for this one. It's perfect really though, if he wins he is the don still, if he loses people will just say ahh he wasn't at his best anyway.
Reckon Fury wants to claim Wilder's scalp before AJ does, if TF wins gives him more leverage in an AJ fight. I also reckon Tyson is thinking if he could go to Germany and beat Wlad in his backyard then why not do it again with Wilder ?? If this happens either Fury gives DW an absolute boxing lesson or he get's stopped brutally.
What is this based on? Never been KO’d. Granted, Cunningham caught him once and he was dropped, but he shook it off and won the fight. Wouldn’t say there’s any substantial evidence to suggest he has a bad chin at all.
Yep, this is a big factor. I think his strength and conditioning training is far better with the current trainers (remember those videos of him lifting weights with terrible form under Peter etc)? That was always a big weak point. I’m not convinced the Fury camp really understand S&C as much as they should. From a boxing point of view, obviously Peter Fury is an amazing coach. He’d need him for this fight. At present, assuming he turns up in reasonable shape, i’d have this as a 50/50 fight. With Peter in his corner, I’d say it’s more 65/35 in Tyson’s favour.
