It’s going to be interesting I rewatched the Fury/Klitschko fight yesterday and he did a beautiful job in that fight. He baffled the hell out of Wlad, and Wlad’s reluctance to engage. Then I rewatched Wilder/Ortiz and he battled back from the brink showing his resolve. The difference in this fight is Wilder is like an angry bear and he’s all reaction and he will attack he’s not going to be apprehensive like Wlad. Plus he’s not exactly known for being a thinking fighter where Tyson is. Questions I have : 1. If Wilder catches him and Fury shakes it off how will Wilder cope with knowing he can’t stop him? 2. Fury staggers Wilder early how will Wilder handle it ? 3. If Fury can’t keep Wilder off of him will he be forced to go toe to toe and the ring is only going to be a 20’ ring not 24’ ? 3. Will Fury be on game and make Wilder look bad? 4. Is Wilder losing it, has Fury gotten to him with the no one knows you stuff, or is Wilder trying to become controversial with his actions and crazy statements? It’s a great match up because a lot of it is dependent on which Tyson Fury shows up. I can’t wait for Saturday night.
If Fury takes Wilder`s shot it will be the same as when Bellew shrugged when Haye caught him with his best shot, he just gave up. If Wilder gets staggered early he will panic and start winmilling, then he`ll get countered all over the place. Fury wil make Wilder look bad for the first few rounds like Ortiz did, but his love handles are too flabby and this could impact on his movement in te second half of the bout. Wilder`s rattled but the only way Fury can capitalise on that is by landing his jab early and not letting Wilder settle, if Wilder starts getting too far behind on points, then he will really be rattled, but we won`t know any of this until Saturday.
1. If Fury can take Wilder's punch, it's an easy night for Fury. I suspect Wilder keeps trying to throw harder shots, draining more of his own stamina and Fury would stop him. (I don't think Fury will shake of those big Wilder shots though...be great if he does!) 2. We've seen Wilder be staggered. King Kong Ortiz almost had him out. Wilder recovered and won. Wilder carries his power throughout the fight. Fury needs to be aware at all times. 3. If Fury can't keep Wilder off him, he'd be safer using rough housing inside tactic, lots of holding and ugly mauling. Put his weight on Wilder and try to drain him. Wilder needs space to punch. Right in his chest is actually the safest place to be. 4. Wilder is just an imbecile. Don't read too much into his antics and shouting.
Wilder isn't going to try and outbox Fury he's more than willing to lose rounds waiting on that perfect shot that puts Fury's lights out. That could very well be his undoing in this fight.
One question should be will Fury fight southpaw I think if he does Fury will be harder to hit cos of his size.
1. He will continue trying to knock Fury out; 2. read #1 3a. Fury will try to fight on the inside or/and clinch; 3b. For some of the rounds at least, yes. 4. No. I doubt it.
I hope both pull out & we get Bermane (former champ) vs Hughie (former champ Challenger). If not I refuse to buy the damn ppv
Agreed and why I've predicted from the start Fury on points. Wilder will wait on that shot, but it ain't coming, at least not in the way it's come before. He's going to have to make a way in against Fury...that is a big man to try and get close to. I'd like to see him really work the body, he won't, but I'd like to see him do it.
Fury will make Wilder look bad early, Wilder starts slow and he can easily be outboxed. The question is will Jack Reiss let Fury do some work on the inside? Especially later on in the fight when both guys are tired.
I have to ask, why is your user name "Jennifer Love Hewitt" and your profile pic is Michael Jackson, it's such a strange combination. I can't work out what's going on.
