Article in the Standard saying there will be an official announcement on Monday at BT Towers.

I know the fight has had some stick, but rather excited for this one.

I assume it will be in Las Vegas.

My take when this first surfaced was that it was a pr stunt and wouldn't actually happen. Looks like it's for real, so respect to Fury for taking a big risk with his comeback.

Agreed, I was spectacle. Fair play to Warren for actually getting made as well.

Wouldn't be suprised to see Fury labour to a victory against Pianeta here so he doesn't give too much away to Wilder. Great fight Wilder v Fury hopefully the rumours are true.

Not excited for this at all.

I listened to Fury on the BBC podcast the day before the Seferi fight. He went on for 45 minutes about how Ali made a mistake going into a title fight after only 2 tune ups, and how he wasn't going to make the same mistake and was going to take his time and it'd be late next year before he was in a big fight.

Next minute, off the back of a DREADFUL performance vs Seferi he's already decided to fight Wilder next.

Fury WILL get knocked out. I'm as certain of it as I am of any result ever.

And when he does all the after timers will say oh it was too soon to go into that fight without fighting even one top 20 guy.

Fury was running out of money, Wilder's team have flashed the cash knowing this is the best possible time to catch Fury and he's fine with selling his lineal status for a few quid.

Dot on the card and I'll happily accept a ban bet on Fury to get ktfo by Wilder.

Yes indeed. Although I suspect you meant sceptical before the autocorrect turned you into a pair of glasses...

I think in the ideal world Fury would'nt want to fight Wilder this soon but there a couple of main reasons why he has. He was properly told that if he never Wilder would fight AJ in April and he knows if AJ wins he would be kept away from fighting him (so no world title shot). The other is, he feels at his best he is on a different level to Wilder, i agree, so thinks if he is back to even near his best he wins.

Fair play to Warren and Fury for getting it done.

This a big blow to Hearn and Joshua's reputations. "I'm the realist G, I'll fight anyone", course you will Josh. Course you will.

    A few points

#1 Ali was CLEARLY not the same fighter when he came back, and he hadn't been an obese recreational drug user while he was out. He also looked GOOD vs actual contenders in his first two fights.

#2 the WINNER of fury vs Wilder (wilder) is going to have more bargaining power at the table with AJ, the loser is basically done. So it's going to be good for one of them (wilder)

#3 if you are a fan of Tyson Fury and know anything about boxing you know this is foolhardy at best, a cash out at worst. There is barely any upside to him taking this fight.

If Fury somehow does beat Wilder I'll admit that I know nothing about boxing but it WON'T happen. A Prime fury probably does beat him but Fury isn't in his prime, he looked truly awful vs Seferi, and now he's fighting a guy who lost to Kevin Johnson.

The human body doesn't recover from what Fury put it through in like 8 months. It's more like 2 years of living good to repair that damage.

Be excited all you want, when Fury crashes face first into the canvas and we are all holding our breath waiting to see if he's going to move again you will realize how ****ing stupid a move this was.

There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity. If Fury wakes up from the devestating ko he needs to be put on a watch list because he's going to become the new Ricky Hatton.

I love this fight by it's a massive risk by team Fury.

He looked abysmal vs Seferi, I'd honestly back Bellew and Price to ice him if he hasn't improved from that.

I think peak Fury does a number on Wilder, but I just don't think we will ever see that guy again.

Hate to say it but I'm going with Wilder by KO. I think Fury needs 2 more fights after this dude before Wilder.

    You arent getting the point.

The guy COULD get back to his best. He isnt giving himself the chance to.
