Wilder vs Fury to be Announced Monday

That sounds very plausible. Wilder's team saw an opportunity to claim Fury's scalp before he was back to his best and Showtime have backed them as a way of building Wilder and his revenues over a longer period. Fury's either gambling that he can still beat Wilder even without the tune ups or him and his team have concluded that he's never going to sustain a top level campaign again and they're cashing out over 2 fights and making his retirement money.

It detracts from the fact that Tyson Fury is fantastic shape! He weighs less now than he did against Hammer! He MIGHT just be ready for Wilder you know. Saturday will answer a lot of questions.

 

Just sat down to watch all the videos what took place today..unbelievable stuff. Like most of us I dismissed this as a PR stunt/nonsense but ive been proven wrong.

I’m not a fan of Fury, but if he takes this fight I will gladly give him all the props in the world.

One things also for sure, all of this has made AJ and Hearn look like absolute tits.

 

If Fury is to fight Wilder next, its for the money. Its 3 or 4 fights to soon. No wonder Wilders on the plane like **** of a shovel.
The spat today was staged. Wilder will KO the Fury of today. He's lost the weight, done the hard work so why not keep it up, have another 3 or 4 fights and give it a proper go...

 

I am not convinced of Furys conditioning, losing 9 stone in a short space of time hes done well but i dont think he will have the engine to box to a game plan like he did in Germany.

 

I think its embarrassing that Fury is even being considered, never mind be allowed to fight for a world title.....1 appalling fight after a drugs ban doesn't grant him the right to fight wilder. Dillian Whyte deserves a chance long before Fury. Wilder will blow him away within a few rounds and hopefully he will crawl back under the rock he has been under the last few years. Ambassador for the sport is something he isn't.....what falls out his stupid big gob is cringeworthy most of the time

I like Wilder but he’s one dimensional with a weak resume. He’s never fought anyone who is as good as Fury. Ortiz was quality but he’s an old man with high blood pressure.

 

I think its a crazy fight to take at this stage for fury. I can see him making hard work of the fight tomorrow tbh. He,ll win but he won't look good doing it even with the weight loss. Even a chance this guy catches him with something. He's the first real test considering seferi was too undersized to tell us anything. Its easy getting the weight off its a bit harder getting the conditioning back to what it was tho.

Tbf wilders not a good fighter. He's good at dealing with a certain type of opponent...he,ll get found out when its a style he doesn't like. Like Tyson's but at this stage your not sure where fury's at. They need to assess fights on a fight to fight basis ATM. They need to see where he's at this time tomorrow first.

 

Tyson is making a mistake here. November is about 6 months and 3 or 4 fights to early.When he gets sparked I see him slipping back into his bad habbits.

 

Yes in much better shape but really needs another 4-5 opponents with increasing difficulty before facing Wilder. Would like to see him in with Takam next and his final fight before Wilder needs to be a fringe world title level opponent such as Povetkin, Parker or Whyte.

Wilder has a suspect chin so Fury has a chance but it could be brutal for Fury when Wilder opens up with his 20-30 windmill combinations

 

Funny isn't it that just a few weeks ago people were criticizing Fury from the angle that he's just come back to fight a string of bums and maybe some second-raters and milk that for as long as he can.

Now it's evident he's come back to genuinely attempt to PROVE THE POINT about his claims to being the "lineal champion" and "the best of the generation", the same old critics are having a go at him from the opposite angle.
