Great video Rummy, as always. Now here's my official prediction from CST's corner. Don't sue me. https://vocaroo.com/i/s05qClnmPMfW
The scenario you depicted is certainly a big possibility, and it would not surprise me in the LEAST if it plays out something along those lines. Good stuff!
Fury's entire game plan is to get this fight into the hands of the judges and hope for the best. That means he has to avoid a vastly superior athlete with convulsing power who will test Fury's chin, conditioning and stamina far more than his last two walkovers who threw 20 punches a round and offered zero serious threat of any kind. Fury's fitness and power has to carry him for 12 entire rounds. Fury will have no time for clowning or talking to the crowd. He will have to be at or above the level he fought against Klitschko because Wilder is not 40. Wilder is not a caution first fighter. Wilder has no stamina issues. Wilder can have a subpar night and still knock Fury out. Fury has to be absolute perfection for 12 grueling rounds. Wilder by knockout.
Hard to argue with that indepth technical breakdown CST That's about how I see it happening too. Not sure whenever round it happens, but I think it will.
My prediction is it will be a stinker & Fury will spoil, toy & play with the hugely limited Wilder but get robbed on the cards.
Fight will be a stinker early on, both guys will be cautious then will pick it up in the later rounds with Wilder scoring a stoppage or decision.
Great video although i think it assumes Fury still has his cat like reflexes - i hope that is the case but i don't think it is, not based on the fight with Panieta.
I fear Fury will not lose due to lack of skill or talent, but for lack of conditioning. I don't think he's in shape to go 12 rounds now, considering he was badly gassing in the 12th vs. Wlad. He will be in much worse shape now and it will show in the last quarter of the fight.
Fury definitely less room for error, but the rounds where Ortiz was having success against Deontay - I really do believe Wilder can do a better job at that sort of approach. One mistake and it could be lights out, for sure. But I think Wilder might find Fury a more slippery target than he's accustomed to. Curious to see how each guy bites (or doesn't bite) on feinting from the other, especially in the first few rounds, assuming it lasts that long.
