Wilder isn't that great skill wise , but neither is AJ.

I see it the same as twenty man...femi is blowing out of his ass trying to chase wilder round the ring and wilder clips him on his way in. AJ has a known glass jaw so he gets KTFO.

He's an awkward wilder, he puts AJ away. It will be messy to watch from a technical point of view but hey, this is all we have to work with these days, the heavyweight division is shocking

    Wrong on 2 points

    1. 38 year old
    2. Was never schooled just had a bad round 7 and 8

Did a 41 year old out of the ring for 18 months knock AJ on his arris or were we all dreaming?

I though Ortiz was maybe one round up after 4 as he was not landing enough to win the rounds.

Was a bit like when Coke Fury stunk out Germany v Wlad

It may not sound it but I do give a lot of credit to Ortiz for a great fight

In fairness you can't compare klitschko and ortiz one was the lineal heavyweight champion for a decade the othe one has dave allen as a top 5 win.

Wlad was an old man by the time Fury messed him about for 2 years though and still had AJ beat but lacked the killer instinct.

Wilder is horrible to watch from an aesthetic POV but he’s now proved he can get rid of a top fighter so obviously he has a very good chance of doing that to Joshua.

I go on eye test mate. To me klitschko was moving in the ring vs AJ with great poise, his handspeed was still excellent, the power was there, he was hungry.

He's an exceptional athlete even at 41 and i don't know many who could have beaten him that night.

Ortiz looked his age far more than klitschko did, in the corner just before the round Wilder took him out he looked ready to keel over and i said wilder is going to start windmilling soon and take tired old boy out

I credit wilder for his power, speed and fighting heart, but i feel like that fight last night could be his "khan-maidana" fight. Where on that one night for some reason he got through something ge ordinarily wouldn't have.

Klitschko looked a lot more tired earlier in his career when losing than Ortiz did last night after 10 rounds

Ortiz is older than Highlander, but credit to him he gave Wilder a scare in the 7th. Had he been a few years younger maybe he could have finished the job...which is similar to what we could have said about Klitschko in that 5th/6th round against AJ.

You have to give Wilder credit though, he was giving up nearly 2 stone in weight against a boxer with superior skills.

Wish Tyson Fury would stop faffing about and get involved in this mix.

Wilder always has a chance because his speed and power mean he can deliver that KO punch at any moment. Joshua is the fave though. He's a better boxer, the bigger man and also has more than enough power to knock Wilder out. Joshua by KO/TKO.

What do people base the opinion that Wilder has a better chin than Joshua on?

He’s been down to a lot lesser fighters.
