I really like Ngannou by the way. I would root for him. But that's pretty bad technique there. He got countered actually a few times there, but the guy was backing up and didn't have much on the punches.

 

I dont know why people are gassing Ngannou- he has zero boxing skills and boxing punching power. He would get iced by a good number of the top 30 guys in the HW division today.

Both wild, but both with a powerful punch. Between the two, Ngannou has shown a solid chin. He's taken flush shots from Miocic, and didn't even seem to flinch. Miocic is known to put guys out when he lands flush. Wilder on the other hand while not having the worst chin, does get hurt when any type of punch lands semi flush. We saw it in the first Stiverne fight, the Ortiz fight, and a few others. I'd say that with boxing gloves on, Ngannou is able to take Wilder's best shot, better than Wilder is able to take Ngannou's. Ngannou by KO.

 

Wilder comfortably destroys him, Ngannou has little technique and no defense, look how poorly adesanya, another hyped mma banger, fared in boxing. I doubt ngannou could survive the distance against someone like Fred Kassi, a fight with Wilder would be nothing more than sanctioned beatdown.

 

Deontay Wilder's can throw a straight right. That would be enough. That guy would be out cold - his technique is laughable.

 

In a boxing match Wilder would kill Ngannou. People are really reaching. Ngannou is a sucker for right hands against MMA fighters, who have much slower hands than Wilder does.

 

Ray Sefo had a chin in kickboxing. He had been corner stopped and once by the referee cause he went down a few times. But he had never been truly KO'd. He also had big power.

I rag on Wilder's lack of skills all the time, but that's only because Ngannou isn't boxing. Francis makes Deontay look like Willie Pep. I haven't seen such bad technique since those fights in highschool Nagnnou has power, but that's it. I know Wilder is a slow starter, but his right straight is a rocket and he'll land it the moment Francis tries one of his whooshing telegraphed sweeps.
