I've seen a couple videos that suggest Alturki is working on putting this match together. Any truth to this idea?
If Wilder is afraid to throw his right hand like in his two previous fights Ngannou will bully him with his superior physical strength and clinching.
I hope not but if it happens Wilder ko's Ngannou. Wilder is done but he's not that done. I think he'd still starch Ngannou inside 4 rounds.
I really really hope this fight doesnt happen. This is an absolute lose lose for boxing and to top it off its a fight Ngannou can genuinely win impressively. I was hoping AJ had vanquished Ngannou from boxing for good. Hopefully Wilder just retires and they make Ngannou vs Zhang instead.
Wilder hasn't thrown a right hand in anger for 2 fights and looks passive and timid. Ngannou is considerably bigger than Wilder and is physically stronger than him. Ngannou was able to deal with Fury in the clinches who is alot bigger and physically stronger than Wilder also. Yes theres always a possibility that Wilder starches him with a right hand. But based on Wilder's recent form with his passive timid approach I'm not so sure.
I don't see it that way. It's more a question of whether Ngannou trusts his chin enough to march forward and deny Wilder space to swing... If he does, he'll have Wilder stuck where he's totally ineffective, and he'll test Deontays very average chin. Wilder's not so much shot as exposed - yes he's older, yes he's a tiny bit slower, but more than anything else he was always massively overrated and hasn't responded well to losing... It looks like his confidence isn't there either, and being put on the back foot will bring those insecurities right back. If the money's good enough he'll fight again, so who knows. As much as Ngannou beating Wilder wouldn't look good for the sport, it might at least help correct the record on the bronze fraud.
Parker played a very careful game, not letting Wilder line the shot up. Zhang is a great southpaw. Both far too skilled for Wilder, but Ngannou doesn't have that skill and AJ laid out the blue print to KO him.
