Here comes the Ortiz is ancient threads now. These idiots are so predictable. Last man standing will be Deontay just like PolishNavy predicted years ago. Great fight the most avoided HW vs the 2cnd most avoided HW.
The last fights I've seen he looks good enough to beat Wilder. People seem to put too much weight on early knock outs and risk taking when judging how good someone is. He's looked in complete control in every fight so far, far more so than Wilder and he's fought the same or better opponents.
That would enhance his resume, but ones resume hardy tells the entire story. Most would be impressed with dw beating ortiz. There's a reason most go strictly on ones resume to determine their level. That's the opposite of how I come to my conclusions on fighters levels. I've already seen everything I need to see from dw to know for a fact that he could beat every single hw we've ever known of, on dw's night. Very few hw's could make that claim and know it's true. He could let me down, (like somehow losing to an ortiz level fighter, highly unlikely tho
I agree, he still stands a very good chance of beating a sloppy Wilder. But I don't believe that it's a foregone conclusion that he will. I think that there is more to Wilder than meets the eye and that he might be acting as if sloppy for a purpose. You know, like some fish use camouflage to lure in prey. Tasseled Anglerfish
