Just six more days to go until one of the biggest heavyweight fights of the year. Who do you see winning and why?

Wilder has the size stamina, and power. He does fight off balance at times, and can be outboxed by smaller heights than Ortiz.

Ortiz has the superior skills and experience, but has not looked as great since the Thompson fight, though still only lost rounds to Jennings. How will the lack of steroids effect his performance could be significant also.

The lack of Ortiz being on the drugs makes me worried he will not perform at near the same level.
Ortiz does has the superior skills though, and I have never seen him fatigued. I think if he can stand up to his power when Wilder does connect, Ortiz should win by a wide decision. I am going with Ortiz by wide decision.

    Who do you think wins?

Head is ever so slightly leaning towards a Wilder UD. Heart would quite like to see Ortiz knock him TFO.

Wilder wins if Ortiz gets a heart attack during fight. The old man is so sick that he must eat his heart pills at the fight night.

If he doesn't get heart attack, then its going to be Ortiz by very vicious and brutal KO.

Wilder by late stoppage. People will be surprised how much faster the Bronze Bomber is to old grandpa Ortiz.

ortiz on points /wins by scoring a few knockdowns and making wilder box a defensive cautious fight reluctant to let his hands go as much as normal for fear of getting countered.

wilder has the speed /length /stamina to control and win this fight he just has had so many easy fights he has not polished his skills enough to beat a competent boxer like ortiz and IMO he will be made to pay for the mistakes he makes over and over.

he is just not polished any technical defeciancies out and relies on his power.

ok if he can land some big shots on ortiz / but in this fight i think ortiz will take away his jab on his lead right hand and wilders right from way back will be read / ortiz will feint let him lead with it / step back and try to land his own straight left.

once ortiz starts reading wilders speed advantage after 2 or 3 rounds he will start to land cleaner punches. and when wilder overextends he will be knocked down by not having his legs under him.

i want wilder to win / drug cheats should not prosper /wilder is not being given enough credit for taking this fight.

wilder needs to straighten up his shots / make them much shorter/ people say box like he did against stiverne and he will win/ i disagree i think ortiz is much more clever than stiverne on defense and offense / he is not going to have a double arm guard stationary target to aim for in this fight.

if wilder wins he will show me new skills that he has kept hidden until now / unless he just walks through ortiz and ortiz folds /possible with wilders power / but i think he will have trouble landing it hence i am going with ortiz skill and abilty over wilders power and speed.

Gotta go with Wilder. For all his big talk he knows this is a dangerous fight i cant see him leaping wildly at Ortiz from the start for the early KO he has been predicting. He will be more contained, more cautious and more cagey, flicking out the jab to keep Ortiz from setting anything up and throwing 1-2,s. If Ortiz is slow reacting to these punches he will be more agressive but if Ortiz threatens with counters Wilder will keep doing what he is doing which is enough to win him the rounds.

I think Ortiz will be a threat with the counters but will get frustrated with the lack of progress he is making and will start trying to force the issue which is where Wilder can look to start hurting and stopping Ortiz but im not convinced he will. I think this will be a UD for Wilder as long as he can keep his composure and concentration at all times.

If he doesnt and cant keep Ortiz at bay with a flick jab and 1-2,s and threats of more then he is getting knocked out, if he cant keep himself under control and really does think he is a half hybrid best of all time then he is getting knocked out.

Let me first say that neither fighter has fought top quality opposition and Infact it is Wilder who has the better resume.

It's a toss up fight between two very good but not spectacular fighters.

If Wilder can fight focused for the full 12 I think he takes it with a late rounds stoppage.
