Why not just have wilder vs aj? I guess they are both closing in on 40 years old works in progress

Because Wilder doesn't want it and never has, I think?

And because he'll happily get in there with guys who don't have heavy hands (and Parker doesn't) but won't go near someone like AJ who could do him real damage... This is the guy who got beaten black and blue by a pillowfist, let's not forget!

Sure, he must be so scared of someone he beat twice in the amateurs.

Gasiev is not Joshua. In this fight Wallin will face bigger dude with 10 cm reach advantage on opponent site not much smaller one.

Joshua is puncher too but biggest problem of Wallin will be difference in foot work. Murat is slow on feet soo when he was much smaller in the ring he got problem to winning rounds with bigger Otto going back and just jab, jab, and more jab.

Joshua is bigger and he is quiet good fighting long range. Here Wallin must risk much more because on back foot he dont get decision. And this is a Perfect situation for AJ.

Only case is Joshua dont like southpaw but reematch with Usyk show that he getting better.

Wilder vs Parker is more interesting because Wilder can be worse after 2 beatings from Fury. He done nothing but beat quick Friend from sparings...
Parker is offensive, quiet hard hitting and quiet good chin dude. He is better going forward.
If he dont take some massive right hand in first minutes Wilder can have serious problem in that fight.
Funny but Parker can be best Wilder win because Im not sure Ortiz was better than him.

Honestly I wouldnt want to be in Parker's shoes. Hes aged. He will be Ko'd for sure by Wilder. However honor to the courage.

    Parker aged? He is 31...
You look wrong on this imo. What better chance Parker can have?
Wilder getting old (38- soo for 85% he is after his prime), took massive beatings from Fury and we dont know how he will now react to big punch + Parker got on his camp dude who destroy Wilder twice soo best help I guess.

That's perfect chance for Parker because if Wilder hide his downfall he can expose it.
Remeber that Wilder never like fight with ppl going forward agresive. He look best vs slower dudes who give him space

Wilder... Fury has always been renowned as a light puncher.

True to some degree for AJ too, Usyk isn't a murderous hitter.

Only reason Wilder is fighting Parker is because Joyce knocked him out, if it wasn't for that he would be fighting someone else.

Wallin could be a good choice of opponent for the work in progress but still fragile, Joshua. Wallin doesn't have the power to trigger the gun-shyness Joshua has recently displayed and may be the ideal steppingstone for where he is at currently. Potentially a good fight.

Parker cleverly evaded Ruiz's power for 12 rounds but was unable to do the same against Joyce. If a good version of Wilder turned up I suspect he would KO Parker. But it would be an interesting fight if it happened and if the more aggressive recent version of Parker was to turn up again there could be some fireworks.

Probably that's true but Joe is different boxer than Deontay.
Parker is not technical boxer who outboxed You dancing on the ring. He go forward because he is strong samoan with good hand speed, good chin and good punching power.
When he faced Joyce he just meet bigger, stronger and better chin guy who is like tank- slow but strong AF.

Wilder is different. He is not tough as Joyce and he dont like being pressed hard. Parker got here his chance but off course we all accept that If he made smth stupid and take right hand with full force it will be good bye.

If I was Joseph Parker I will be training for full force attack from round 1. All what he got in first minutes
Wilder need space and if You give him time he will find this right hand. Better be closer to him when Parker got many advantages.

After the KO by Joyce is aged 10 years. Easy job for Wilder.

It might be if Wilder was actually as good as his hype... But he's been battered by a pillowfist and his best win has a low level gatekeeper kind of resume.
Wilder is very, very unproven - ESPECIALLY for a guy with a long title reign who had plenty of opportunity to make good fights and chose not to.

Parker's decent without being special, but he's levels on anyone Wilder's beat.

Parker's hurt. Wilder's right hand is still powerful imo.
