How does it make sense for Wallin to fight Joshua when he is tentatively penciled in for an interim title shot?

If it does happen, good fight. I like both guys and think Joshua will win a close one.

The AJ payday is probably a better opportunity financially than a vacant belt bout with Hrgovic. Plus, if Wallin can win, he raises his profile and gets both chances.

I mean, you are right that it is a much bigger payday, but if boxing has sadly taught us anything over the last two decades, it is that these guys love having paper titles to milk by grinder fights with unqualified company-ranked cans.

I could be wrong. Wallin has always seemed willing to take on anyone, so maybe he is not of that ilk.

What top names has Wilder won against? Is his reputation truly deserved?

In theory, Parker has attributes that should give Wilder fits

If Wallin comes in shape that could be a potential banana skin for AJ.

The logic here is in abundance, it’s overflowing.

Two of boxing’s biggest names fighting on the same card not PPV worthy?

I see an upset victory happening here.

I think Wilder wants some sort of revenge on Fury and knock his buddy out cold. Parker has enough skill that on a good night he can beat Wilder, if Wilder has lost something during his inactivity. Still I think Wilder W brutal KO3.

Joshua he better hasn’t been building back up so slow to lose to Wallin. And I think that’s definitely possible against a motivated Wallin. Joshua drowned during his USA debut. I think it might have been mental. An event as big as in Saudi might give Joshua stage fright.

I actually think that the Saudi event might have overwhelmed Fury as well.

Parker has been sitting down on his punches the couple of fights. If wilder and Parker get into a shootout early it’s anyone’s fight.

Wallin Nissan not that good. I don’t think he is even top 15

Have you looked at the heavyweight division? He's easily top ten.

Parker has a chance but he needs to be aggressive and the power/chin ratios still favour Wilder, so I wouldn't pick the upset.

Everything wrong with boxing summarised in one response right here so thanks for that.

Of course it isn't ppv worthy. For the exact reason you just gave.

Usyk/Fury. Beterbiev. They're the divisional champions.

Wilder and AJ haven't won a meaningful fight in years. So what if they have name value.

Bivol won't make the fight with Beterbiev for financial reasons, so his reward certainly shouldn't be a PPV.

But thanks you said what I said in a much more concise manner. The ppv is based solely on name value, not level of fight.

Parker needs to "crowd" Wilder and not give him space

Literally "bully" him with his (Parker's) greater weight.

An aggressive Parker can do it

Top names? None, his best wins are gatekeepers.
Reputation deserved? Don't be silly, he's the biggest hypejob in boxing.
