Good match up, cause Povetkin ist 3 classes above Stiverne.. not sure if Wilder would go that risk in a voluntary, hopefully not cause I am more interested in Wilder/Wlad then in Wlad/Povetkin2 :deal

Boxed Ears - OK, I get you. I don't agree with you, but I get you. Let me leave your argument where it is, or this thread is going to derail from the subject.

All I will say is this: you are - from my point of view, obviously - too worried about American weakness as you perceive it. From where I am sitting I don't see it.

You know, after the Zombierne fight, i would have been slightly in favour of Wilder to win that fight by decision.

Povetkin cannot fight tall fighters. At all. He's tough, spectacular, but very limited.

But after seeing "the champion" refusing 10 millions to fight him......

Povetkin by spectacular, Charresque, combination KO :!:

Boxed Ears: hey bro, I am a fan of a European fighter, that doesn't mean I am loyal to Europe and there is no war. And as BCS8 says, Europe poses no threat to us: the entire continent has 1 nuclear aircraft carrier.... we have 11. I can assure you personally that no nation on Earth poses a threat to us militarily.

Boxed Ears: No disrespect taken. You are right as there are definitely internal threats that attempt to share our technology with our enemies. But thankfully, Chinese engineers are too dumb to replicate US blueprints even when they steal them, the North Koreans can't even successfully launch a Rocket into a space, and Russian vessels break down frequently. So we are safe for now but complacency breeds danger.

Yeah, I'm still crying. Do you have to kick a man that's already down in the gutter? You're not a good boy ;(

Stiverne looked awful when he lost his belt to Wilder, but he still had his moments of success when he was actually trying to apply pressure and make 3 punch-combinations. What we have learned is that Wilder does not feel comfortable under pressure, which we partially saw both in Stiverne and Firtha fights.
Now, Povetkin is the best aggressive pressure fight in the division. He's far better then Charr, Chisora, Takam and Arreola. So, he has the highest chances to test Wilder properly. This fight would test Wilder's chin, though he did take some heavy punches from Stiverne.
So my prediction is that if Wilder does not do anything with his defensive weaknesses and he would appear as vulnerable as I assume, Povetkin would take him out of there within 3 rounds, like he did to that Polish before facing Klitschko. However, if the fight goes distance, it would be close. On the one hand, Povetkin would be able to go inside and make troubles there. On the other hand, he would 100% be constantly eating jabs from Wilder. BTW, Wilder is not bad on the inside and prefers not to clinch, so I really wonder what can happen within this aspect.

Is Eric Molina adequate prep for a Povetkin mandatory?

Molina is just a step to go back early KOs. Arreola or Chisora would be better and useful choises if Wilder wants an easy defence.
