For those who don't know already Evgeny Romanov KOed Deontay Wilder in the amateur ranks. Now that both of them are boxing pro would a rematch end the same? I'm guessing no since Wilder was not very experienced at the time. He's probably improved since then...then again, Romanov may just have Wilder's number like Maskaev had Rahman's.
Anyone that thinks that ams results have any relevance to pro results clearly doesn't have a clue about boxing
watched romanov fight as a pro he pushes his punches / does not have a lot of power / knows what he is doing but is never ever going to be in a position to fight wilder in a pro rematch unless wilder asks the wbc to rank him so they can advertise it as a rematch. from what i have seen romanov would struggle but then he is only a 5 fight pro / but he was huffing and puffing v a journeyman who if he was to get to top 10 level he should not be breaking sweat against. wilder wins this at the moment 10/10
Sometimes it does, some times it doesn't e.g. Lennox-Riddick (Bowe didn't even bother to fight Lewis ) ,Vladimir Klitschko- Paea Wolfgram. It can show how one's style lines up with the strength or weaknesses of another's style.
