I thought the left still had enough meat on it to hurt. It's not like Wilder is a powder puncher. Scott doesn't like getting hit and can't take it. He has no stomach for it. It could have been a fix but if it was I see it that it was Scott who was dodgy.
Wilder landed a left hand to Scott's temple but I'm not sure if it was very powerful though. We have been here before with Scott. It was actually a bit like the Chisora knockout, Chisora clipped him with a temple shot and then Scott didn't seem to want to continue. I think that Scott is a good sparring partner but doesn't have the mind set for the pro game and folds under any pressure. It could have been a fix I wouldn't rule it out, but after what happened in the Chisora fight I am leaning towards him getting clipped by a punch which didn't hurt him that much and then deciding to stay down.
I'm watching the replay as I type, all that connected was a slap with a left hand. If it wasn't a dive, Scott is a shot fighter. Very fishy indeed.
http://youtu.be/jws9K_RTCy4 Watch that^ from 53 seconds in. Maybe a second before Wilder throws, Scott winks at him with his left eye. That, along with Scott looking Wilder dead in the eye, apparently with complete clarity, from the floor, convinced me that this was fixed.
It hit Scott's ear, the punch that put down Price in the first Thompson fight wasn't a big punch but it still put him down. Wilder is a legit threat now, I have doubted him, still have doubts but he will KO Fury and Chisora and probably has the best chance to beat Wlad. I'm getting behind the guy.
Do you reckon it will be investigated?? Obviously it will be futile but they can't just be seen to turn a blind eye to something as suspicious as that
