Ustinov might ko him. Wilder wouldnt have the reach advantage like over Stiverne so he would have a lot of problems.
What makes you say that? Surely Ustinov was faster as a younger kickboxer? Ustinov is in great condition here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0gABizrR-k but not fast enough to catch (or avoid) Wilder. Most likely an early KO for Wilder, but Ustinov definitely has a puncher's chance.
Ustinov is big, but slow, so Wilder has a chance to out-jab him and wear him down. On the other hand, if Ustinov could force Wlder into several exchanges and land a few clean shots early on (he tires somewhat quickly) he may walk away a winner. Not a known name though and not much money in this fight for Team Wilder...
It's an interesting fight....Ustinov is S L O W, but he's a huge, naturally strong guy, in shape he outweighs Wilder by more than 50lbs. I could see it going a few different ways. - Wilder could use his speed to stay away, and either cruise to a UD or go in blazing for the KO. - Ustinov might be able to cut Wilder off (Stiverne should have been able to but could not), rough him up and get the KO/TKO. I saw two surprising things regarding Wilder from his fight with Stiverne. 1. He has very good power, no doubt...but not insane power. I noticed a lot of Wilder's shots were hitting the guard, or hitting their target and then deflecting a bit...they weren't going through the target. Part of this is because Wilder is just naturally skinny (6'7.5 219lbs)...his wrists and ankles are very small, so he's got to bulk up to get more force behind his punches. 2. Wilder appears to be a much better boxer than I had previously thought. He has improved greatly in the last few fights.
I see Wilder scoring an early KO. Ustinov is slow and can't avoid a jab. Watch his fight against Pulev.
