Say what you will about Whyte, but unlike Wilder, he got right back in the ring with the guy who beat him and won convincingly. Wilder was always a guy with a padded record, and it was no surprise that he was totally exposed by the first decent prime fighter he faced. Whyte knocks that overrated fraud out cold.
I think Whyte is the ideal style for Wilder to look good against, the only problem for Wilder is Whyte is physically strong so maybe some of his tactics won't work.
Hah, Wilder would nail Whyte. He'll catch him with a straight right as soon as Whyte over commits with his horrible hooks that he throws wildly when he gets impatient.
This one would be over in a round or two. I could see Whyte going straight after Wilder from the opening bell and either knocking him out or getting knocked out himself in the process. Wilder is garbage but he could easily nail Whyte and vice versa. Would be fireworks.
I would hope instead of the debating the WBC actually take the finger out and order this for there mandatory spot, White say's his game for the fight and wants Wilder so a directive from the WBC for the 2 of them to get in the ring and be the No 1 challenger for the belt shouldn't be an issue....
I'd favour Hrgovic, Hunter, Ruiz and Joyce to end Wilders floundering career once and for all and reckon Parker would be a 50/50 as he's got a chin and when he's up for it, is far too busy for Wilder. Whyte's left hook would have just as devastating an effect on Wilder as Wilder's right hand would have on Whyte so, for me, it's far from a given that Wilder earns a shot at the winner of Fury/Joshua. Usyk would absolutely humiliate Wilder and take him out in Bellewesque fashion only quicker. Wilder isn't going to get any better at 36 and with his huge ego denying him from learning how to actually box. He's apparently injury prone (or yet more excuses) and is likely, mentally fragile after his Fury humbling. Compare how he handled humiliating defeat against Fury to AJ and Whyte and it just shows him up for the being the incredibly fragile mental midget that he is. It wouldn't surprise me if we never see Wilder in a ring again. Every fight for him now is a huge risk as the blue print is out there (if he had fought top tier opposition sooner he would've been defeated sooner) and like I said earlier, he's on the decline.
Joe Joyce might not look it but, he is a highly effective, very seasoned and well schooled pressure fighter who can box when he needs to. Add to that the high work rate, ridiculous stamina, granite chin, ram rod jab, thudding power, huge strength and physicality and Joyce is an absolute nightmare opponent for Wilder.
I once saw a magician pull a white rabbit out of a hat but I don’t believe for a second that the rabbit lived in the hat or that the magician was really capable of actual magic!
