I am no Wilder fan but a fight against Whyte would be quite simply easy work. Wilder should take the fight !
Sad thing is I doubt Wilder and his management will go near him...but they were willing to fly to Russia to fight a roided up younger Povetkin. So badly mismanaged. Whyte doesn't have the pull for Wilder to ever go near him...even if it's on paper a good style matchup for him.
wilder didnt want to fight whyte im a make you wait another five years keep wilder on the outside he thought he was clever jobbing whyte hes turn now lets see how he handles it another 38 bum run coming up
Whyte would walk him down and smash him up, only chance Wilder has is land an early right hand ala Brezeale fight, but if he swings and misses a few Whyte backs him up on the ropes and mauls him! Wilder won't get up from a clean left hook from Whyte, no chance!!
I predict we will never find out tho as Duckontay can't risk another loss now and he's been running from Whyte since 2018
Odd that Povetkin vs Wilder thread Povetkin was winning that poll. Whyte beats Povetkin but a Wilder vs Whyte thread people are favouring Wilder over Whyte (who has beaten the minimum 2, arguably 4 better fighters than Wilder has ever beaten). Not to mention it has been proven that Wilder has ducked Whyte for years and has avoided big punchers his whole career. I guess this can only be contributed to the popular "anti matchroom" agenda that is rife on this forum.
At present I don't see Wilder taking a Whyte fight or any fight for that matter. Whyte should try and get Ruiz after he beats up a shot fighter too in Arreola. Or the Helenius and Kownacki winner. Either way the heavyweight division is on lock down with everyone waiting for the Joshua and Fury smoke to clear. If that's the case 2021 will be a horrible year for heavyweight boxing.
Just because fury hammered Wilder doesn't mean Whyte will. Big slow not hard to hit Wider will catch him early and knock him out .Whyte should stay away and wait for Fury AJ to happen.
Hearn sees something in Whyte. What I've seen from Whyte is a lot of average HW performances on the world level. Maybe there is some real power in Whyte's hands. Povetkin's inability to handle his power could be from being physically shot. If Whyte is going to have a prime this is going to be the start of it. Wilder is no longer in his prime which ended around the time of his first fight with Fury. Its tough to believe that its been almost 2.5 years since that fight. That said he's still has the big right hand that can carry him for a while if he chooses to get back into the ring. I'd go with Wilder in 7 but Whyte should hurt him at some point in the fight.
