Talk of Fury dropping the WBC belt, which would give Whyteleafe a shot at Wilder for the vacant belt.

Matchroom love a shot to pieces old name to feed to their house fighters, does Wilder at 36 fit that bill yet after going to war twice with an ATG in Fury?

Or does Wilder still have enough to land on that glass jaw of Whyteleafe's the way the ghost of old man Alec Povetkin did?

How does this one go in 2022?

Whyte will face the roof within 2 rounds - it will be career ending.

As much as I like Whyte, he would be obliterated by Wilder.

Going for Whyte win by KO in first few rounds. Whyte has for to his arsenal in terms of attributes. Wilder never beaten anyone near Whytes level before whilst Whyte has already beaten several better boxers than Wilder.

Whyte would put pressure from the get go and put Wilder on backfoot rendering him helpless.

If Wilder gets dropped by half grazing body shot that didn't properly connect from known know body puncher how's he going to survive Whytes body shots?

Not that fight will ever happen, Wilder wouldn't fight as he packs a punch.

Can see Fury ducking and vacating, Wilder turning down the offer as next contender only for Joyce to step up to the plate.

Wilder must be completely ruined after those beatings at the hand of Fury.
    So Whyte stands a chance.

This is my thinking, given Whyteleafe's track record (and matchroom's particularly with how they match their heavies), they'd surely only take the Wilder fight if he is shot to pieces a la povetkin browne chisora wach et al. Prime young lions like Wallin need not apply.

Two hellacious beatings at the hands of the Gypsy King would suggest to me Wilder is certainly done at the very top level, but still for my money has more than enough about him to crack Whyteleafe's abysmal glass jaw.

Have a think about this Mitch

When was the last time Whyte really fought anyone in that manner?

Im not counting the Sasha rematch as he was like a dead man

If he comes forward in the way you suggest, he is wide open to Wilders bombs and well his chinned is cracked now and will never withstand such blows

No amount of CV juggling is changing that

Jurgen would be 100% right in normal circumstances, but Whyte and Hearn are so sly, and the punishment Wilder took in his last two fights so horrific, you'd not be surprised if Wilder appeared at the press conference sounding like Riddick Bowe. Outside that hypothetical though, Wilder puts Whyte out for 10 minutes, never mind seconds.

I think both would fight in offensive from get go. Whyte has to as it would too riksly t box on the back or mix it up against Wilder. Both will be open (and yes your right this would also increase the chances of Whyte being hit by Wilders telegraphed right. I just think Whyte will land and hurt Wilder before Wilder is able to hurt him.

However like I said? I don't think Wilder takes the fight as he has avoided Whyte like the plague for years.

If Whyte beats Wilder he wouldn't even get the credit for it by many on here who would stated the reason Whyte won is because Wilder is shot from the Fury fights.

    Agree he wont take it

Can't agree Whyte wins, he is made for Wilders right hand

Id give him credit however if he did as Wilder although overated by select morons, isn't as bad as you make out

Whyte would get laid out at some point, he'd make it messy for a while but he'd get caught and once that Cantaloupe gets cracked it's good night Vienna.

Wilder came within 1-2 secs of beating Fury in 2 of the 3 fights and no shame being defeated by one of the two current World Champions and the only two current elite fighters in the division. A warrior right to the end in all fights.

Fury has incredible heart and resilience while an old shot Pedvetkin had Whyte sleeping under the stars in Eh Day's Garden. Huge difference in the calibre of opponents fought.

When Wilder wins by a brutal KO, the @Mitch87 boxing CV algorithm is going to need a serious programming makeover.
