    That could be true.

I don't know enough about it, frankly. Didn't Whyte turn down facing Joshua, who went on to lose to Rice Pudding Jr? If so, why did he turn that down?

    Well isn't that convenient...
This has been explained countless times on threads you've been involved in. Why keep asking the questions if you don't like the answers

Like one of the red top newspapers here in the U.K did when Julius Francis faced Mike Tyson.

They paid Francis a decent chunk of change, if I remember rightly. Something like £20k.

Wilder as champion fought Ortiz twice, Fury twice, and Breazeale .... instead of fighting Whyte.

Can someone tell me what's so bad about that?

Of course, Breazeale was a bum, but if I recall correctly Whyte was in fact offered an elimination bout with him but declined it. Is that right?

Ortiz hadn't beaten anyone in years and most noteworthy win (if you can call it that) was against Jennings. Is at least two years older than he claims according to Yoel Romero who he trained at the Cuban Olympics centre with.

Only fought Fury as he view him as a soft cherry pick as he looked so out shape and looked poor in his 2 return fights against low level journeyman.

Had to fight Fury in the rematch as it was his mandatory.

During this time down multiple fights against the likes of AJ and Whyte.

Regarding Breazeale, no, it was the other way around.
    • Whyte won an eliminator in late-2016. Then, Early-2017 called out Breazeale (I guess Whyte thought beating a guy stopped by Joshua would help his profile).
    • Next, Breazeale was cherry picked by Stiverne as a tune-up opponent (Stiverne had taken step aside for Wilder v Ortiz).
    • Then Ortiz popped for PEDs and Stiverne was drafted in. So, Whyte sent a contract offer to Breazeale.
    • Breazeale turned down the chance to fight Whyte, and cherry picked Molina instead.
