The triology is going to happen this year according to Wilders Co manager. After all, it is Wilder's right because of their contract clause. Wilder has 30 days to confirm but his manager says that's how things are looking.
Awesome. About on par for that bunch of complete muppets. Wilder is getting seriously hurt next time out. Like laid out Paul Williams style.
Not sure we really need to see this again... I think we can all agree that Fury was pretty much robbed in the first. Absolutely destroyed Wilder last night. Why fight again? It’s not like GGG / Canelo were it was 2 really close fights. Whyte deserves his shot more.
I'd much rather see Wilder fire his team, get a new trainer, then go to the UK and send Whyte's head into the rafters. Then target a Fury rematch.
If this is true then the decision is made on emotion which is not good at all.. Wilder needs to sit down and process what has happened before making any decisions..
I'll be surprised if it's in the UK as Fury's paymasters are in the US and this last fight broke the live gate record for heavyweight boxing. Unless there's literally no interest from US fans and they jump ship from the Wilder bandwagon I can't see the UK being the more lucrative option.
And that's why it's probably happening. I don't think he wants to go back to making 1 mill per fight on Showtime non PPV cards fighting Kownacki or Martin, he's got the lavish lifestyle to support plus loads of alimony to pay, he's not a young man any more and needs to earn the most he possible can in the few years he has left. Even if he loses again he still might get some decent fights afterwards as nobody thinks he can win vs Fury now, so it's not like it changes anything if he loses again.
