Is he allowed to just jump back in against the winner? Anyone know the wbc rules? I would’ve thought he would need to fight someone ranked first? I still can’t believe he’s going to be 37 this year? Seems like his career has flown by or maybe I’m just getting old. hopefully he carries on as there are still some exciting fights out there for him, wilder vs usyk or aj are still 50/50 fights imo
He's not fighting Fury again. Poor guy. He's #justsayingstuff. Wilder needs Otto Wallin, Michael Hunter, Dereck Chisora or Joseph Parker, keeps him relevant, risk of a loss, but he'd be a favourite, not Fury IV.
What in God's name makes him think he would ever get to fight Fury again? He should be looking at the loser of Joshua/Usyk (or whoever), or the loser of this one. He ain't getting the winner. His political capital is nowhere what he thinks it is. He can still make good money, but his days at a potential champion are over.
Should have fought Whyte years ago Easy fight on paper Whyte probably would have turned it down anyway, wouldn't have made the £5-8m offered by AJ & Fury.
He should fight Helenius and assuming he gets back in the winning column, go for Joshua. It’s his only really big money fight left.
For a long time, White called out Wilder, as WBC contender No. 1, for not giving him a chance in the fight for the title, and then he lost to Povetkin.
He has to wait for Stiverne, he is first in line to face the winner, going by the WBC's policy when Wilder still held the belt.
This^. I'm not sure if his audacity is as bad as his stupidly or not here. Assuming Fury wins against Whyte, does Wilder really want more of the same??. He's taken two serious beatings and wants some more??. Obviously the beatings didn't knock any common sense into him all said and done. Fury's got Wilders number whether Fury's fully trained and fit like the 2nd fight or lacking considerably as in the 3rd fight.
Fury is not fighting him again. Wilder has Ruiz, Parker, White, Joshua, on his plate. And stablemates Kownacki, Martin, Sanchez to chose from. AJ , Ruiz and Parker are the fights fans want to see
No, I believe he wants Fury again, despite being an obvious ball of tension in the hours and moments leading up to their last two encounters. Wilder has guts, and he's also incapable of wrapping his head around Fury being too much boxer and too much man for him, so he wants the boogerman again, notwithstanding how spooked he is. He'll keep wanting him again and again 'til his purported puncher's chance comes in (might as well be a one-in-a-million chance, far as I see it). It's a mania he's trapped in. That doesn't mean he should get the fight, though. He should have three defeats to Fury on his record, with the two that were official L's being brutal poundings. There's no remaining market for the Fury-Wilder bout, we've all seen enough.
