Renowned boxing promoter Dmitry Salita believes Deontay Wilder and Otto Wallin should do a fight in which the stakes would be a temporary WBC title while Fury awaits a decision on retirement. He spoke to Vegas Insider about the details and reasons.

    Wilder smashes Wallin...

WBC part makes no sense. Wilder needs to get away from the WBC line as long as Fury is in the picture, because they aren't going to fight again.

Really, assuming Fury is serious about coming back against the winner of Usyk/Joshua, Wilder is probably spending the next 12 months against a top 15 guy (e.g., Helenius) and then against either Ruiz (if he beats Ortiz) or someone like Parker. I still think all roads lead to Joshua, but it has to happen by end of 2023 at the latest.

Wilder should consider fighting Dubois in the WBA. Easy way back to a title eliminator. Then KO hughie fury or hunter.

Wilder better stick with guys like Wallin who have no power. The alternative is Wilder taking a nap.

Wilder was truly run ragged and beaten badly in the Fury matches. A relatively softer touch would be perfectly acceptable in my eyes. He needs to regain his confidence. Wallin would be a challenge for such a match.

Wallin is way more talented than the guy Wilder will fight in his comeback.
