Apparently no guarantee he would fight AJ in the contract and Hearn refuses to add such a clause.

Once again Hearns excellent use of social media has everybody fooled.

Why would he guarantee Wilder a shot? If Fury comes back Hearn will not want AJ to be tied up with Wilder. A Fury fight would take priority.

Why should Wilder get a guarantee of a Joshua fight? I fail to see how he can make such demands when AJ is the money man of the division.

Hearn hopes and prays that Whyte somehow manages to beat Joshua. It would be great if he was as enthusiastic about matching Joshua with Wilder as he is with Whyte. Wilder is the fight people want to see.

If Wilder looks awful in the fight but still wins then its harder to market an AJ fight. So Hearns is right. Let Wilder come in, blow away Whyte in 3 rounds (I hope he can do it) and then we have a great setup for the AJ showdown!

What does Wilder have to lose? He will collect 4 million vs. Whyte -- why is Wilder skeptical?

If I was Wilder, why on earth would I turn down 4m and whatever else if it's such an easy fight..

Gets my name known in UK, my career best pay, traps Hearn in a corner on social media, good 'stay active' fight.

We give Wilder **** for now fighting legit people and now we are giving him **** for trying to get the fight with Joshua instead of Whyte.

    O K

Joshua-Wilder is the fight to make at HW. Why are we trying to encourage barriers?

Turning down 4 mil against a bum was a good decision?
    Are you dumb?

This. Though I think Wilders technique is bad enough for him to be starched by Whyte, however I would prefer him to be starched in a title unification.

Oh yeah so a fight with Stiverne will guarantee him a shot at AJ then?

I want to see AJ unify with Wilder/Parker but I also understand that neither guy deserves anywhere near 50/50 so negotiating with them may not be quick and easy.

There's going to be promotional bull**** with almost any fight with both sides making stupid demands. All the same, that doesn't mean us fans should clamour for the AJ-Wilder fight instead of throwing Whyte in the way.

Whyte will be Wilders mandatory anyway, so looks like this happens regardless.

Lol good stay active fight? Whyte would be his toughest opponent of his career.
