If I were Wilder, I wouldn't agree to travel to UK to face Whyte without the guarentee of getting AJ after.

If Wilder is so desperate for a fight with Joshua, what is stopping his promoter/management making Joshua an offer?

It seems they expect Hearn to do all the work in making a fight happen.

Exactly. There is nothing stopping them making an offer but they cant as they don't have the money so in reality Wilder really needs to pipe down as he needs Hearn and Joshua a lot more than they need him.

The fight could happen in Wilders backyard if he pays the money but he cant.

Of course if Wilder looked too good knocking out Whyte then Hearn wouldn't be offering him a Femi fight. This is all about building up Whyte for a Femi 2 fight and not about giving Wilder a big pay check vs anybody. Hearn hopes Whyte runs him close or better still edges a win because he knows Whyte is both easily marketable and beatable for a Femi rematch. Wilder is an unknown quantity and might pull the rug from under him, at least more so than Whyte.

Wilder is probably thinking"if I blow away Whyte early, Hearn won't want me anywhere near his cash cow".

I know what Wilder wants from any deal to face Whyte but standing alone as a fight in its self Wilder vs Whyte in the UK with the money being offered is a great deal for Wilder and it will give him some much needed exposure to the UK PPV payers, i dont see any negatives at all. So no i dont think Wilder is right to turn that fight down. Considering Whyte cant be far off being Wilders mandatory opponant for that WBC belt too.

But saying all this Wilder fights at the weekend, nothing serious would of been said, emailed or talked over between the 2 camps about the Whyte fight or Joshua fight until after the Stiverne fight so lets wait and see for when talk gets a bit more serious.

He needs a guarantee? Do you think every fighter enters negotiations with this type of clause?

What Wilder should have been interested in was the easy 4 mil he would have made (Easy per his words).

Then give him the guarentee on the contract. Legally assure him that he'll get Joshua should he beat Whyte.

    hearn is generous .

back when don king owned all the top heavys to get a shot at his money spinner if he thought you were a threat you had to go through his entire stable of who needs or wants them fighters to get your shot .
