Wilder/Joshua maybe off the cards forever due to Wilder's decline but perhaps a fight with Whyte. Whyte too is seen as over the hill and there's history there, so could be a fight that people are willing to pay for and provide both a decent payday.

As opposed to always having been off the cards due to Wilder's cowardice?

Agreed - it has some edge to it, both are seen as declined (and possibly spent) and one of them would be getting knocked out... And whether that's a drugs cheat or the king of the ducks, it'd be nice to see.

Realistically, I think Whytes more declined than Wilder - but that's not necessarily a bad thing as prime for prime Whyte would always have won, so it's more interesting than it could've been.

    Get it made :D

The pressers would be classics too.

If you were going to diagnose a fighter as being shot based on his symptoms I'd say Wilder has 90% of them. He can't pull the trigger, he can't take a punch anymore, he's constantly being backed up in the ring and his legs are noodles. Couple that with his well known horrid footwork and skills and he is a candidate for dementia if he keeps this up. Friend's and family need to intervene.

I really don't like him, but think he for his own sake should ride off with the very good money he's made after all.

Would be fun to see him going back to KO the kind of opp he KO'd 5-10 years ago, though. Would really throw a spanner in the works for those Wilder and Fury fans who say he's nothing like what he used to be. The explanations as to why KO'ing a top 20 guy now is so different to what it was back then would be amusing to read.

Your last 2 fights suggest otherwise

As long as people will pay to watch Wilder get KO'd, Wilder will keep taking the cash and knockouts.

He should go to Bridgerweight which seems basically designed to extend his career.

I'm not completley sold Wilder is washed after 2 losses. In olden times people would never be telling top fighters to retire after 2 losses. But I think his confidence is shook and he really needed that to succeed. If your best friend is your coach saying and I quote "I'm not a miracle worker" when talking about your defeat that must really hurt.

Why ? Everything Whyte went through Wilder went through worse and he's 38. No way is Whyte more declined.

Not even sure if Whyte is British level these days; even faded Wilder sends him to the shadow realm.

    Retire, retire, retire.
I'm not particularly a Wilder fan but he seems to have much more to lose than to win if he continues

Ferguson was the legit number one in his division at one point. Wilder was never that.

His time at the top of the division is over. He's gonna just fight guys like Sanchez and Anderson now. If anything, he should try this new bridgerweight division, or maybe even cruiser.
