So you knew your fanboi rant would get this response?? Well Done??

If you want to look at without your rose colored fanboi glasses on then like me you would be suspicious of him until he steps up and fights a legit threat..

That doesn't necessary mean we all don't think he is any good but unproven. For me AJ gained some credit for beating Vlad but we won't know for sure until the best face the best..

Until he does step up he is just another **** talking fighter...

You need significance to be ATG. Unless he defeats Joshua and maintains his k.o record I don't see it.

I agree quite a bit. I think Early 90's Lewis was a bit better than current Wilder but they are very similar. The difference is Lewis put on some weight and refined his craft as he got older and Wilder is currently 32. Wilders best hope is to become better than a green Lewis. He doesn't surpass peak Lewis ever.

I believe he'll beat Joshua and continue on his career with more significant wins and be ranked among the top 10 greats of all time. I think he'll prove to be the best heavyweight of this era when its all said and done. I was expecting this kind of response and look forward to bringing back this thread when I'm proven right. Time will tell but I'm almost positive in this prediction Wilder's got the talent and the style to do this. He has a great jab and wicked right hand with great finishing abilities. Yes he does windmill punches but that awkwardness in his attack I think makes him even more dangerous. Joshua will always be considered very good when its all said and done but I believe he'll be ranked under Wilder. Wilder hasn't got his opportunity to shine yet he almost had it against Povetkin and Ortiz hopefully the Joshua fight happens soon or he draws one of the other big names.

I think I'll root for him if he fights AJ. If he does pull out the win though, I'll be resentful that he or his team hid his talent and ability for so many years fighting bums.

I think Wilder will lose at least twice to Joshua if he takes a rematch.I don't think he sees round 5.

Wilder is going to be huge underdog for a reason, and its not BC
Joshua has more social media followers.

He really needs to sack his team tbh, he looks like a joke has had joke fights his whole career so think of the money he has missed out on if his is the next great HW...

At 32 really he is only a couple of years until he start to decline so he may have missed the boat..

At this day and age 32 is not as old as it once was. I think Wilder still has at least few more good years left for him to rack up a few big wins. Regardless of his opposition hes been impressive in how hes handled them for the most part. He was very green when he turned pro but now has developed into I believe the best heavyweight in the world. A win over Joshua will solidify this and show he is the best heavyweight of his era.

If Wilder is to be an ATG then AJ is the GOAT.

Also just read that in 2017 AJ has made around $40 mill. How much has Wilder brought in? $5 mill? 4?

I rate him higher than most Wilder critics. But there's no question his resume is absolutely ATROCIOUS for someone with SIX title defenses. If he beats AJ I'll be so PISSED that he didn't fight better opposition before that.

How can anyone be a ATG by fighting winos from the alley?! It's time Wilder fight a legit fighter for a change. Wilder is not worth being in the top ten until he fights a real fighter. However, Wilder will fight Breazeale next, another fake fighter that can't fight at all, but owned by Haymon, so he will take a dive if ordered or just simply lose...................what a sick joke on boxing fans. He is not fooling me, nor most boxing fans, there are a few who think Sconiers and Nichols are top fighters..................

Well the standard for being an ALL TIME GREAT is quite high, y'know?

Joshua isn't an ATG yet, despite beating Klitschko, so Wilder wouldn't automatically become one by beating him, just as Bowe isn't considered an ATG just by beating Holyfield, or Buster Douglas Tyson, or Rahman Lewis. You need consistency and a degree of depth to your resume to avoid the label of one hit wonder, which would mean Wilder would need to beat a couple more good names and go on to clean out his division, as almost every other ATG has done in the past.

Currently i can name 4 heavyweight fighters in his era that are more deserving of the ATG tag.

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Haye
    Joshua

Anthony Joshua needs to fight Stiverne man, knocking out Stiverne clearly catapults your reputation from Bum squasher to potential ATG, hes been doing it all wrong fighting these top 10 contenders...
