Povetkin was outweighed and dwarfed by Wlad... That won't be the case with beanpole Wilder. He won't have a strength advantage.

Povetkin cannot match Wilder in punch output, speed or power. His only chance is to land a lucky punch like he did against Perez. :yep

Wilder definitely has a punchers chance it wouldn't shock me at all if he caught Povetkin coming in with a counter and stopping him.

But Povetkin took the best of Wlad and kept coming forward, I don't think Wilder is going to find it so easy to subdue Povetkin and force him back.

As for cheating wouldn't shock me at all if Povetkin had been doping all Russian athletes have to be suspect after the RUSADA scandal.

As usual, You just can't get enough of proving the fact that YDKSAB. Povetkin is the best inside fighter in the division right now.

I was going to just post LOL and move on after Uppercut's krap title. But then he posted a pretty decent post on why he thinks what he thinks. I still think Povetkin wins, but if Wilder can keep him on the outside he could surprise people. Oh, and Povetkin > Stiverne. Let's be serious for a second.

I think this will be a good fight.

Povetkin's inside fighting is far from Wilder's. He is slow and ineffective, throwing ineffective combinations that hit elbows, hips and air.
WIlder will be the winner of their inside exchanges and may even stop Sasha with a body shot. :yep

As always, you're talking out of your ass. Povetkin is one of the few top HWs who make use of body shots. He has good handspeed,(much better than Stiverne) and is probably the only one who throws bodyshot-uppercut-left hook-right hook combination. Wilder's main offensive weapon is his 1-2, jab-straight right hand.

Wilders footwork isnt very good though, but i reckon he could keep povetkin at bay.

The only unknown variable in this fight is the methods that the Russians will use to cheat. :yep

You are right though, Povetkin does throw that combination, but as I pointed out, they rarely land and are ineffective. Wilder's land ratio will exceed Povetkin 10:1.
If Povetkin attempts to match Wilder's activity level he'll be exhausted by round 5.

Rather than "levels", I estimate Povetkin as being just a half level above Stiverne. :smoke

It would be 120-108 Povetkin or wider (or a stoppage) if he met Stiverne h2h.

I've wondered the same thing and after Wilder KOs Povetkin perhaps the Stiverne-Povetkin fight can be made. :smoke

Stiverne needs to get past the Derric Rossy's of the world first. :smoke
