Putting this out there now. Fury is shot, he looked shot vs that little fella, and I said he would need at least 18 months of steady progression to be ready for a title shot.

This fight will be DREADFUL with Wilder and Fury awkwardly clowning and showboating for a couple of rounds, Fury even though shot will still outbox wilder for a couple of rounds (even Szpilka managed to do that) and Wilder fans will use that as evidence Fury was "prime"

then Wilder will clip him and finish him off before doing some weird dancing and shouting "bombsquad"

Then all the Wilder fans will proclaim him an ATG

Nah, Fury will handle Wilder. Will be the toughest fight of wilder's career.

Based on the Seferi fight I'd agree, that Fury loses to anyone in the top 10.

But we need to see how he does vs Pianeta. Maybe he's returned to something close to his old form hence why he's possibly taking this risk vs Wilder. If that's the case it would be a genius move to secure the Wilder fight now before Wilder realises that Fury is again a serious threat, signs the contract and only later on realise they were duped.

Haven't seen a punch landed on Fury in his last 4 fights. Anyone who beats him deserves credit. It won't be Wilder though lol.

It’s a really tricky call. Fury’s last fight was bizarre - aside from the obvious freakshow nature of the clowning and the fact he was fighting a much smaller man, it was really strange to see Fury’s prime attributes - his ring awareness and defensive magic - being so out of whack. He was backing up in straight lines at times FFS, and only really got away with it because of Seferis major reach disadvantage and general inexperience against such a big opponent.

What makes his more bizarre in my mind is that a prime and fully prepared Fury is an ABSOLUTE ****ING NIGHTMARE for Wilder. A huge, slick, determined undefeated fighter who loves to fight and will absolutely rag doll him on the inside and make him desperately uncomfortable every moment he is in there. He will be very hard to land clean on, especially with wilders habit of telegraphing that right hand and I believe will frustrate and drive a Wilder to despair at times.

So I think its strange that Fury has the belief to take this fight next - back up in straight lines like that against Wilder and he will get iced - but also telling that Deontay wants the bout so soon...cos a fit and in form Fury would be ALL wrong for him, and he must know that. Anyone with eyes can see that.

No doubt that Wilder will shatter the furious chin. Wilder is too tall and fast with too long a reach for Fury just to pull his head back and be in reverse gear all night (the sum of his famed boxing skills). He WILL get clipped and finished.

    Some good posts here.

I agree that Fury as we last saw him will get put to sleep brutally by Wilder and that the ensuing amounts of jizz from the Wilderinas will be nauseating. I don't think he can improve enough to beat Wilder in the space of time remaining. Wilder's expert cherry-pick team score another winner, in fact, they hit the sucker right out of the park this time.

Fury will win a wide UD or stop Wilder late. If I am wrong, I give Wilder all the credit in the world. I consider Joshua the real champ at this point regardless, but the winner of this is a #1 contender that Joshua MUST fight or forfeit his his right to be called champ.

Props to Deontay for taking the fight. I just believe he is going to get rolled.

If Fury looks sharp against Pianeta, a win over him would deserve some credit, not much credit .....
.... but about as much credit as Joshua deserves for his win over Wladimir.

But the fight won't be secured until after the Pianeta fight.
If Fury looks good against Pianeta, and Wilder doesn't fancy fighting a good version of Fury, the fight won't be signed.
By the same token, if Fury leaves the ring against Pianeta feeling he probably does need a further tune-up or two before Wilder, the fight won't be signed.

Either man can back out. I really hope not, I hope they take the risk, but it's not on until it's on.

I agree , honestly, I've never understood why so many are enthralled with Fury. One win over a 39 year old Wlad in one of the WORST heavyweight fights you'll ever see is his Bona Fides? ...And now he 's not even going to be that good?

How did Joshua become the real champ in your eyes ?

Surely to become the real champ in a fighter must either
    A. Defeat a real champ
    B. Defeat his leading rival or rivals.

The only "champs" Joshua defeated were Martin (LOL) and Parker.
The only leading rival he faced was Wladimir Klitschko, a 41 year old coming off a loss to Fury and an 18 month layoff.

It does not matter what he does and who he fights. Wilder won't get much credit in this site ever.
