You people crack me up. Did you really mean to come to a boxing forum, or did you type the wrong url by mistake?
As much as I hate to admit it Wilder probably has a 20-30% here. With a very good shot at the win should the fight go late and Joshua gasses.
A.J is the most manufactured Champion in history. Joshua clearly shoulda lost in the first round at the Olympics and came in 16th place or whatever. Then he shoulda lost 2 more fights after that and still some how was handed a Gold medal. Charles Marlin was biggest fluke that I have ever seen as a Heavyweight Champion. He won his belt by his big arse stepping on his opponents foot and injuring the dudes leg. Prior to that he fought all bums actually. And was rather non-impressive. The Klitschko vs AJ fight was clearly a staged event. AJ was ready to go for 4 or 5 rounds or whatever, no legs, totally gassed, nothing left and Klitschko was staying away and throwing jabs the entire time. When clearly he coulda took A.J out at any time during that period and he did nothing but throw jabs. Yeah okay. Then you see stuff like Klitschko posing, laughing , smiling with A.J celebrating his 1 year anniversary losing to AJ at Wembley. Un Fn beleiveable, I never seen anything like it. Klitschko partying with AJ celebrating his loss to the guy. It would be like Spain celebrating their loss to Germany at the last World Cup.
I don't buy into this 'Wilder is a lot faster than Joshua' argument. Go and watch his fight with Ortiz and just watch Ortiz's feet. "Ortiz was tricky....Ortiz was a southpaw"....Ortiz had bricks in his boots. The lighter Joshua showed much improved movement and speed against Parker aswell as much a improved IQ compared to his fight with Dillian Whyte. Wilder doesn't seem to be 'improving' or 'learning'. Getting caught with a hook by a much smaller man is just a basic flaw.
Thats it? Wilder hits harder than Klitchko and Klitchko put Joshua down so that means for sure Wilder puts Joshua down? Have you been playing Boxing top trumps or something? Im not saying Wilder doesnt KO Joshua with his right hand but theres a whole lot more to consider than your little equation.
I agree with the first sentence but don't understand the logic of the second. Which fight of any note has Wilder landing something big early and got them out of there? He's a slow starter which is why I think he gets starches against Joshua. If AJ is allowed the same success Wilder has allowed so many other opponents then gets blown out of there before he can land anything dangerous himself.
It could happen, of course it could. I think its the only way Wilder wins, I've not seen one post saying "Wilder will out jab AJ" or "Wilder will out work/out box AJ" or things like that. All I've seen is "Wilder needs to land one right hand" and while it maybe true the reverse is also true. Joshua will only need to land one right hand, maybe one right uppercut and he will finish Wilder because AJ isn't 92 years old with a heart condition and he isn't Eric Molina.
I ask myself who would win this fight if neither of them were knockout artists. My conclusion conclusively picks Joshua, as he’s simply the better boxer. So, if you add that knockout power to both fighters I have to favour Joshua, given his superior boxing. Of course it’s no longer conclusive. It’ll be interesting to see how Wilder handles Joshua being consistently in the pocket.
