If that happens Ortiz will be shot and this win will mean very little ala Stiverne II. Wilder hasn't stopped anyone early apart from Stiverne since becoming champion. Ortiz should at least last to the middle rounds if he's even half the fighter he was 3 years ago.

    Really interesting fight for me

Wilder is still quite limited in experience, hasn’t really been tested.
Short amateur career means he won’t have faced that many world class opponents especially southpaws. Pro career we all know not really faced any/many legit opponents

Ortiz on paper should beat Wilder, better boxer and probably going in with that “now or never” mindset. However does he have enough left? What if wilder does land one of them swing things?

Replace Dillian Whyte with Andy Ruiz Jr and it would be fixed. Wilder's kryptonite style is a short, elite pressure fighting boxer who specializes in bobbing and weaving and landing combinations on the inside. Alexander Povetkin and Andy Ruiz Jr fit this criteria.

There is a reason why he never fought that type of an opponent in the pros before. The last time he did, he was stopped (in the amateurs by Evgeny Romanov).

Ortiz is being drug tested constantly for this fight while i doubt Wilder is doing anything but a post fight commission test if that. so yeah; Wilder is easy money in this fight.

Keep in mind that Ortiz is much better than Szpilka. He's a southpaw like Szpilka, but has better chin, better power, better skills. If he isn't totally shot, Wilder will at least have some trouble.

Agree with this analysis. Ortiz might be more skilled and is much better on the inside but he will have too much difficulty getting in there. I'm not sure he gets KO'd, I wouldn't be surprised, but lean a bit more towards decision given how the first Stiverne and Arreola fights went.

The best punch to use against a southpaw is a straight right hand - which is Wilder's best punch.

    Wilder by KO early.

He's got the best straight right hand in the game.

Ortiz fought two months ago. Was he shot?

If he wasn't shot in December, then he isn't going to be shot on Saturday.

    You have excuses for everything.

I never said he was shot. I said IF he gets KO'd early it'll probably be because he's passed it. If Ortiz half the fighter he was a couple of years ago(namely Jennings) then he should be able to ask Wilder some questions and go rounds. Did you not see the OP? Think before yapping Dunning-Kruger.

If Ortiz gets KO'd early, it's because Wilder is the hardest puncher in the game and he connected flush.

    That's all.

He punches a WINDMILL. Not a straight.

    Dumbest post of the day.

And that comes after someone just said they'd take Joe Joyce over Wilder in two fights.

That explains why a shot Stiverne who was dropped early by Rossy is his only world title fight that ended early? Haven't seen the evidence that Wilder punches harder than Joshua, Ortiz or Povetkin. Where's your proof of this? Certainly not evident in his fights with Szpilka, Molina, Duhaupas, Arreola, Washington or Stiverne I.

Ortiz is a tomato can. Its not a fight that is going to show anything we don't about either fighter.
