There is a difference between an excuse and an observation, he broke his hand, that has nothing to do with Fury or winning the fight. It doesn’t mean that acknowledging a pretty serious break somehow diminishes the win.

I wasn't referring to recovering from the KDs. In the latter rounds, there were moments when Fury appeared to (recklessly) not evade/block Wilder's punches at all, and instead just absorbed them with his face. It looked stupid but makes sense if Fury realized Wilder was too injured to throw properly.

It's a part of the sport. Anything can happen in the ring, not a good excuse, but a part of the reason why someone loses. Wilder wasn't going to win that fight regardless.

Boxers usually break the fifth distal phalanx. The pinkie.

At this point Wilder would have Dea break his hand post-fight, just to ensure the LDBC members have something to push.

Yeah, Wilder walked right into Fury's trap of placing his head in the way of a right hand punch to break a bone. That's next level ring IQ from the Gypsy King...

I've broken my knuckle and wrist before and it's really not that bad tbh.

1: broken finger not broken hand.

2: Wilder said this the day before the fight

"‘Everybody knows about the MX, those are puncher’s gloves, when they first came out I was breaking eye sockets, breaking wrists, I even broke my hand a couple of times but I think my hand wraps were too tight and I have so much power that all that force was going in one place and cracking my own hands. So I went back to my old MX to be on fair playing ground."

So in a way, his excuses from a past fight where he broke his hands and blamed it on the wraps is responsible for his choice to use the gloves again. Which caused the current break.

There's an almost literary level of irony here.

He broke his hands so many times that he has more metal than bone in his hands

A fighter breaks his hand off his opponents head and this is being used as an excuse to justify his loss? Wtf is wrong with you people?

It's not like Fury hit it with a baseball bat ffs. It must really hurt to know that Fury knocked out your boy twice huh?
