    Wait...what??

What has one got to do with the other?:huh

And also, Haye suffered 2 legitimate, provable injuries. He didn't take a banned substance tht forced the sanctioning body to call the fight off!

Maybe I didn't explain myself very well

Wilders training costs, he can't complain, it happens all the time for example Fury had it twice with Haye.

I can't believe people are actually blaming Wilder for this, you guys know I'm not fond of him but damn the guy Povetkin is a cheater! He should be banned for life and have to pay Deontay's team for lost earnings.

Amazing how people are openly defending a drug cheat caught cheating.

If you look closely, it's only "a few" people who have decided to "alt up" and post the same garbage in defense of a fighter who got busted. They know what their agenda is.

Yes, Farmy is here doing overtime too, but he doesn't count though He's like an automated response. Even he has no idea what he's actually saying when he says it -- it's just "attack the darker skinned/ethnic fighter" using whichever one of his many pre-written catchphrases. He's just hilarious entertainment.

I don't quite get the part about him not fighting again till fall. Lou DiBela apparently was quoted as saying it "takes time to recover from such an ordeal." Huh? Yeah I realize it was a disappointment for Wilder, but still I can't figure why it would take several months to recover from a nonfight disappointment, especially when he worked so hard to get in shape for the fight, looks like they would look for a replacement. I'm a Wilder fan but that seems bizarre.

I guess this is the reason boxing isn't as popular anymore, to much bizarre nonsense like this.

That part, I don't get either.

I'm on Wilder's side in this mess, but why wait for months when you're ready to fight now? He's already in fighting shape, surely something could be arranged sooner (particularly against a lower level guy) to at least make some money. This doesn't have to be a total loss for him.

he decided to make it a total loss, no attempt to get the fight on or wait for further investigation to confirm Povetkin took Meldomium post the clear tests.

Read the story -- they plan to do so if they aren't recompensated.

Ironically, Ryabinsky did just that when Guilermo Jones had a fight canceled for failing a drug test, suing Don King for losses. The Russian won. The precedent is there, so he'll pay up one way or another I expect.

    Why cant he complain?

Haye pulled out with 2 injuries, the fights weren't called off because Haye was doping!

I don't get it either. He should be in top shape and well prepared to fight. While the choice of opponents on short notice currently is not great, there could be options. Ortiz might be available :p

It's clear as day Wilder's team knows he would be destroyed by Povetkin so it's cut and run over 7 billionths of 1 gram of Meldonium which was legal until January and 174 Russian athletes have been popped for it in 4 months. It's common supplement in Russia obviously. Yet Wilder is terrorfied. People that want to cling to the "failed" drug test are just confirming what many already knew, Wilder is a fraud. This fight was never going to happen. He'll fight undeserving guys until he can hopefully get Fury in the ring. This is a desperate attempt to cultivate a HW champion for America only problem is anyone with two eyes can tell he's not the goods. Shame he doesn't seem like a bad person but it's clear his team are manipulating the situation to create the aura of a good fighter when in reality he's just not good.

Wilder is a pu$$y. Happily ran home right away yelling "fight is off" and not even trying to wait for a resolution.

I guess they couldn't find a busdriver to fight him next week so he might as well go on a summer vacation.
