I didn't see Ali getting shutdown he won both rounds chances are equally in favour of Ali letting Foreman think he cornered him? If he just backed up it may have been too obvious even for Foreman.

Louis looked better then any heavyweight in any era in my opinion. The clinching game was different then chances are he gets roughed up bad.

 

Ali got shut down in the sense he had a difficult time dancing around the ring because Foreman cut it off. He tried that tactic in the early rounds and Foreman cut the ring down easily and had him on the ropes. Ali decided to just stay on the ropes and fight him there.

We'll agree to disagree on that. Imo guys like Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Holmes, Fury, Usyk. Etc. These elite guys look better than Louis in most departments besides combination punching. Thats just my opinion though
