If you're offered a fight, and fly over that week and arrange a meeting to discuss the fight, how is that not acceptance?

Finkle didn't demand this when Joshua fought Klitschko when he was working with Wlad.

lets get one thing straight here - obsessing over another man's finances is a strictly feminine trait. Girls love that sh*t, its partly how they choose a mate.

So what the fck is your excuse?

Poveyetkin is rated #3 by Ring so the history books will show that Joshua fought three top 5 ranked HWs in his last 5 fights.

It took Wilder 40 fights and 10 years just to beat just two top 5 rankers and one of them was Bermane Stiverne. Stiverne reached #2 by Ring but its really not that impressive since he got that ranking during the awful K2 era.

    Not this again.....

    Why are fights made?

    Finances.

I'm not sure I can explain this in a more simple way for someone as naive as yourself.

Boxing is a spectator sport so without viewership there are no finances. Therefore fights are made for the paying customer.

Owns Finkel on the claims of the contract not having a date or venue so the fight couldn't be agreed.

Wilder v Fury no date, no venue but the fight is on.

Correct dinovelvet Wilder`s best win after 40 fight was against a fat old Cuban who hold no title, pretty much sums everything up.

    This is incorrect.

If a club makes an offer for a player (and this isn’t just limited to football BTW), if it’s accepted then yes, a contract is drawn up.

Acceptance of an offer however, only occurs when an offeree agrees to be mutually bound to the terms of the contract by giving consideration, to seal the deal.

The moment someone starts to negotiate following any acceptance, the original offer can be declared null & void and thus becomes a counter-offer (or new offer).

So using Hearn/Finkel as an example, Finkel may well have offered $50m, but nobody of any sane mind would (officially) accept such an offer until all terms had been discussed/negotiated/agreed. It’s at this point when acceptance would occur, and you would then draw up a contract.

This. Anyone who thinks Hearn and Joshua could publicly accept an offer without knowing any of the terms is dilusional.

Joshua would of looked ridiculous if he accepted and then once saw the terms of the deal then rejected.

Subsequently we know the terms would never of been accepted due to the UK TV deal for starters.
