So let's get this straight, you're saying - because of the above - Matchroom and AJ effectively killed the deal? It was them who pulled the plug on negotiations?

The opinion of a casual will always remain the same, just the opinion of a casual.

They refused to lose millions of dollars.

    Wilder turned down $15,000,000.......

Joshua turned down a loss of what could be over $100,000,000......

    Is he ducking then?

I know what a contract is. You're making assumptions about one.

You said Hearn confirmed the offer was 'legit'......

He only confirmed the '50,000,000' was there.

Not that Joshua would be forced into losing over $100,000,000 to take a $50,000,000 fight.

    Assumptions?

Do you not know that Joshua has an exclusivity deal with Sky for the next 3 years?

You saying AJ will lose over 100Mil is the assumption and it's frankly ****ing preposterous.

Can you show me again where it says it'll be on BT Sport by the way? I've not been able to find anything

    This.

The $50 million is the Finkel version of Hearn's $15million flat fee. It's an offer which will never be accepted. Hearn and AJ will never give up A side home advantage and their existing lucrative broadcast contracts. They won't risk a career that's going to generate hundreds of millions in revenue on Adalaide Byrds judging or Al Haymon selected judges in Nevada. It won't happen and the people that made that offer knew it when they sent it.

Shelley Finkel will never sign a flat fee which stops his unbeaten WBC championship holding HW fighter benefiting from any upside if the fight exceeds expectations. If only for the hit to his reputation and that of Al Haymon and Jay Deas, all of whom would be made to look incompetent. It won't happen and again, Eddie knew that.

When they're ready they'll do a deal behind closed doors. Till then they'll give us this pantomime to argue over and each side can take their pick who to cheer for and who to boo and hiss.

    I thought I'd write a little rhyme,
    To tell you about pantomime,
    It's usually a Christmas thing,
With jokes and songs which all can sing,
There's villains and a hero too,
Whose brave and has a heart that's true,
But story isn't the real attraction,
It's the show that gives us satisfaction,
So what's this got to do with Hearn,
The man that some here wish to burn,
Well eddies put on quite a show
    Of how negotiations go,
And Shirley winkles helped as well,
To build the fight and help it sell,
So go ahead and boo and hiss,
But as you do remember this,
As you rage and rant with zeal,
    A pantomime is never real,
The fight will happen in good time,
    And all before is pantomime,

Never said he was ducking. i'm just agreeing with your hunch that Matchroom likely killed the deal. Pity Hearn didn't come out and explain why they didn't want the deal like you have managed to. All those tweets and yet he never reached your level of clarity over their reasoning...
