    Who was wilder's best opponent?

My Pick is Sergei Liakhovich. He beat Lamon Brewster when Brewster was on a 9 fight win streak that included Klitschko, Golota, Krasniqi... Liakovich - Brewster was one of the best HW fights of HW history. If you haven't seen it I'd highly recommend.

Of course Sergei wasn't the same guy when he fought wilder, but thats my pick for Wilder's best opponent. What's your pick?

Duhaupas, he has wins over Charr and Helenius, and should have a win over Teper, but got jobbed in Germany.

Liakhovich was shot and way past it, its about as praiseworthy as the Audley victory was for Wilder.

It amazes me how someone can have such in-depth knowledge about Wilder and his past opponents....and still be a fan of his and support him.

Not one of Wilder's opponents have been top 10.

Not one of Wilder's opponents has beaten a top 10.....you could argue they've never actually been in the ring with a top 10.

(This is where someone says "What about Stiverne?"......Stiverne went life and death with Rossy 2 years after he got KO'd in a 3 rounder against a 29-6 Audley Harrison)

Deontay Iced Duh Duh in 11, it only took Povetkin 6 rounds to do the job.

But we are meant to believe Deontay has this amazing one shot KO punch...its amazing because he is facing flat out bums

Whyte looked amazing when he was facing bums

Stiverne I... he actually was a top 10 guy, pathetic as may sound.

I like CST's call of Duhaupus. I'd put him up next.

Then he has a whole slew of wins over guys that, lets be honest, are known, know how to fight, and if a different HW beat them at those times it becomes a somewhat notable or fun win. A couple of top 5-10 wins over the last 3 years would have gone a long way for Wilder to legitimizing his resume because he has good quantity against recognizable guys. But that hasn't happened. And his best wins are a debate between Stiverne and Duhaupus. So. Yeah. Disappointing.

I'd probably go for Duhaupas as well.

"On paper" Stiverne is, but Duhaupas actually made a fight of it in reality and landed some good shots of his own. Stiverne is a professional punching bag. Szpilka gave Wilder a decent run too.

Well in Wilder and Duhaupas' defense, he did take the fight on like 2 hours notice. He had a full training camp for Wilder, he must be commended for going 6 rounds with Povetkin, most on that short a notice wouldn't have made it out of the first round.

Duhaupas looked a hell of a lot better taking out Helenius who had a full training camp than Whyte did UDing him when Robert has less time.

Fair point I am being unfair to Duh Duhaupas.

Yes I am on same page about Whyte. Whyte is the most over rated HW in world boxing now. He is ranked just below the elite, but he is barely European level when you delve deep into his record and look at his performances.

I think he is so highly ranked off the back of getting ICED by AJ.

    Duhaupas.

Over 180 power punches and Duhaupas had to take maybe 4 steps back in total.

If Wilder fought and beat Wach, would anybody consider that as his best win?

    Yep, thirded here,
Duhaupas took everything Wilder could throw at him and smashed Deontay face to bits in doing so. I thought the stoppage was a little harsh too, Duhaupas deserved to see the bell

I would....interested to see how Miller copes with Wach. He's very durable. I still hope Windmill fights Ortiz in the spring instead of Breazeale.
