Wilders chin is good. You will never be a hw champ without a good chin. You guys are just keyboard Warriors. Ortiz was unloading on wilder and he did not go down. I think ortiz landed a total of 25 clean punches and he does punch hard. The romanov ko is a joke cause at that time wilder was 3 years into boxing which is still more then 99% on this board.
True, but he is getting old now, so he'll be hit a lot more due to decline in speed and reflexes. Soon Wilder will be much worse then in Romanov fight.
It's OK, not amazing but not glass, decent enough. And I say that because I can't remember him on the floor.. AJ, Whyte, Ruiz, Parker, Ortiz, Povetkin and a lot of other have all been dropped. Sure Wilder gets wobbled but stays on his feet, Ortiz couldn't finish him, So you have to say his chin is pretty good so far. It will face bigger tests and we will see.
Above average In order to be classed as granite it must pass the Dillian Whyte Granite Chin Check Only Parker has survived, AJ survived a weaker version
It must be pretty good, it surprised a lot of people. Maybe his determination also plays a part. Molina KO'd Adamek who is a tough *******, he has some power. Everyone was surprised with the onslaught Wilder took from Ortiz, a clean counter hook, followed by a clean straight left, then some other shots in the follow up. Haye claims he nailed him with big ones and Wilder was hurt but kept coming. Fury has floored tough men with flush RH's (Cunningham, Hammer, Abel), so the punch can't be that weak. Wilder took some decent shots including a great counter hook in the 12th. Turns out Wilder wasn't a glass cannon, making him more dangerous still.

Had a doctor step in for no reason to give him 15 seconds to regather himself. Wilder was put down by the limited Harold Sconiers - Not long after the video was wiped clean from YouTube. Don't believe me? Look it up. https://i.imgur.com/Eogkara.png Not surprising, Wilder's brother was TKO'd in the 4th round vs Deets and the footage was pulled for infringements too! Put down by Dustin Nichols (not that it means much...) but it happened. KO'd massively by Evgeny Romanov. Not just one punch either. He was stunned multiple times by the shorter fighter. Hurt by Artur Szpilka via a jab Hurt by David Haye in sparring multiple times with 16oz gloves on Stunned by Gerald Washington His chin isn't great. As @Mendoza said, he was been managed incredibly well and the casuals soak it up. Put him in with someone with fast hands and can take a punch. Wilder is in real trouble... I have said for a long time, Usyk, Ruiz and Parker cause Wilder all sorts of trouble. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected ^^^ Good info. Also Ko'd early by Wlad in sparring. - Mendoza
I don't want to see Deontay taking unnecessary punishment to appease these ungrateful toe rags! Retire and give the belt to Dustin Nichols. I doubt the bodybuilder will want to challenge another obese blob!
I honestly don't think Deontay's chin has been tested much. Give him another couple of years and we might see a kd and how he handles it. He sure won't get knocked down by Fury lol. And I personally believe Deontay will be lineal champion over the next two years, take that any way you want. Fury is going to be out of there. Joshua will be knocked the hell out of there.
Tbf to wilder its heavyweight boxing...if you have 40 or 50 fights your more than likely gonna have clips of him being hurt. Look at lennox lewis. Or joshua. Or fury. Or pretty much any of them. The majority were hurt a few times at some point. Although most of them fought tougher opposition than wilder did tbf. Wilders shown his chins not china. To get rid of him your gonna really need to put him away. Cause to his credit so far anyway hes shown....hes not going away without a fight...even tho i think furys capable of stopping him. But furys capable of stopping most of them if he sits on his shots. Not really a massive part of his game so far tho.
He was hit with big shots by Ortiz who has a high KO ratio and stayed on his feet. Hes been in with solid punchers and not been down. Hes been rocked a few times, but then again, if any 220lbs+ guy lands on your chin, hes going to rock you. Wilder appears to have an above average chin.
The Nicholas KD was non existant. That sweeping right hand missed by 6 inches. The other KD's you mentioned are accurate. Haters need to stop throwing Nicholas in there when arguing over Wilders skills or chin.
He has a solid HW chin. If getting hurt means you have a glass jaw, then everyone has a glass jaw at HW. Wilder absorbed heavy shots from Ortiz in both fights and also took a flush shot from Fury in the 12th that staggered him, but he kept coming. Some of it is determination more than chin, but either way he wouldn't be where he is if he couldn't take a punch. I put his chin a step above Joshua's and Wladimir's, not as good as Ruiz's.
