what i nobody can take his punch?? guess were gonna have to wait and see but people think just cause when he fights a better opponet that somehow his power will be non existent. nut
But... he did. The 2nd knockdown which bizarrely wasn't counted, was a knockdown. Murray was robbed, end of story son.
Actually i mentioned in my post that i believe his KO power is legit, but c'mon, there have to be SOME heavyweights out there who can take this guy into some deep water, right?
I agree that his resume is thin, we all know that, thanks Captain Obvious. However, the guy has real, substantial KO power. He looks for the KO and he gets the KO this is something for any boxing fan to get excited about. How many HW;s can have 29 fights, even against relative weak opposition and KO everyone? Tyson fury sure couldn't do it. For now I am pinning hopes on our American Hype.
What a loony comment :nut Maybe the K bros are among the best in HW history. The current crop of top HWs are now drawn from most of the WORLD. They'd mop the floor w/HWs from the 60s, 70s, 80s. People rave about past HWs like Shavers, Frazier, etc. and I loved watching those two. Forget the K bros, many top current HWs would bounce these guys off the canvas. Haye, Povetkin, Pulev would be champs in those old "glory days" Hell even HWs like Arreola, Thompson, Chisora, Adamek, and like HWs would beat most of the older HWs - some easily. Looks like the old era was incredibly bad :bart The top HWs in the current era are bigger and harder punching w/o being like the big oafs from earlier eras. IOW they're quite mobile for their size. LL & the K bros have set the standard for the HW div. Even the current HW potential darling Wilder :bbb is in the mold (size) of the K bros & LL. Tell us the real reason you think the HW div is "incredibly bad" :-(
David Price knocking out durable, legit tough guy competition like John McDermott (who actually should have won a decision against Fury) and Matt Skelton out early were impressive, he also of course KO'd Harrison in more impressive fashion than Wilder did, he stepped up and got brutally exposed and here is what you need to worry about, rumour has it Wilder has the same weaknesses Price does, big, athetlic, a lot of power, but has a bad chin and struggles against pressure
And the only ones who are justified in doing so are Haye (for his accomplishments at CW) and Froch. The rest haven't done anywhere close to enough to be referred to as "great" by anyone.
Wilder would destroy Price. It would be a one punch KO. Price is British level which is about as low on the rung as it gets. He has a Glass Jaw, no stamina and no heart and looks like he is inbred.
Maybe in "you're only as good as your last fight" world, but the Price who fought Harrison,, Dallas, Skelton and McDermott vs the Wilder who fought Harrison, Liakovich, Kelvin Price and McCreary (LOL the fact that I have to reach towards McCreary as a credible opponent speaks volumes) That is a 70/30 fight at best in Prices favour Price has stepped up and been exposed and Deontay gets a flattering knockout at the weekend, of course you'll have him as the favourite, Price is finished, but I guarantee you, when Wilder steps up, he will lose even more badly than David Price Maybe not by Thompson, maybe not by Pulev (don't buy into the Pulev hype personally, but still think he would kill Deontay honestly) but unless by a freaky fluke, Deontay will be badly exposed before he ever comes close to being a top player in the heavyweight division.* *And in this climate, if something happens to the Klitschkos, he could probably still win a title and not even be a top player Price stepped up, his chin got exposed, Mitchell stepped up, his chin got exposed, Wilder has a bad chin, he just hasn't stepped up yet, so why the **** is he still being hyped? hype him when he wins a MEANINGFUL fight against a good, relevant fighter, that is really not too much to ask for after 5 years and 30 fights. So he knocked out a semi retired Liakovich, stop the presses, this guy is gonna lead the heavyweight division for the next 30 years.. The division is bad, but it isn't THAT bad, you need to have more than height and power to be a good champion believe it or not, even in todays division
