Some of the harshest critics of resume on here always seem conspicuously silent when it comes to Wilder
This can't be true!! If it is, it's HORRIBLE. Areolla received a gift against Kassi a gift against Kaufman went life and death with a journeyman in between those two journey man and was destroyed twice by Stiverne. He should be 2-4 in his last 6. He hasn't beaten a fighter of merit in YEARS. Plus he failed his last drug test. If this fight happens it is a total JOKE.
Oh FFS, what the h*ll is this......... all the buffets in Escondido better be ready, Arreola is going on the training camp diet! B/t/w, is Arreola even ranked top 15?
So it's wilders fault that povetkin failed a drug test...? If not for a failed drug test this fight wouldn't be happening, at least at this point in time. So I'd have to say it is partially povetkins fault. Anyway. Weak opponent, but if he follows it up with a solid fight before years end, hopefully fury, I'm ok with it given the circumstances. He needs to fight someone in the top 5 after this. No excuses.
No excuses for picking Arreola. Areolla said after his last fight he doesn't deserve a shot for a belt he fought so bad. If the actual fighter says it how can he get a shot. HORRIBLE. If true I' not sure I believe something so ridiculous yet
Yeah he's not even top 40 in the WBC rankings. They have him listed as: Chris Arreola (US) * NA - Legal Is he involved in a lawsuit with a buffet in Escondido?
Likely it's just that the WBC haven't updated their rankings, as Arreola's suspension for a failed drug test ended about a week ago.
this could be a classic cherry pick gone wrong as even a shot high arreolla has a punchers chance against wilder.
