I think it will be entertaining and Wilder probably can't take a good shot like Arreola can.

I'm not dismissing Arreola yet, i'll wait and see just how out of shape he is this time before I'll comment any further.

Doesn't matter what weight he comes in at, he came in at his lowest weight in years for Kaufman and he still struggled badly. His chin isn't what it was either, Kaufman dropped him heavily and had him badly hurt. Wilder has more than enough power to take Arreola out quickly.

arreola is busted as a contender.
he is still willing and will give it his best shot / but he is now just at trialhose level as showed by his last fights.

he lost to stivern by ko
    beat the prospect

then comes why he is not a viable oponent anymore
he had a see saw hard fought battlel with harper / a fighter who should not give any top 50 opponent any problems whatsoever

he then fought kassi / who was just beaten with complete ease and nonchaalance by fury who never had to get out of second gear to do it / yet he gave arreola fits.

the arreola fought his old sparring partner and struggled all night long being hurt on more than 1 occasion by a mediocre talent.

it is clear that arreola has lost power/punch resistance and is now 50/50 v top 100 fighters.

he will still give it his all/will not lay down and is clearly a warrior / just father time and his give a punch /take a punch style have now eroded to the extent he himself is only a top 50 fighter going the wrong way down the rankings.

if arreola cannot beat a fighter like harper witrh ease what chance v a fighter like wilder a genuine top 5 fighter who would ko harper in a round.

an anology for wilder v arreola is mike dokes v bowe title shot.

dokes once had a name 4 years previous give holyfield a good fight / but v bowe after hard fights / drugs and poor training he was the name sacraficial lamb to the slaughter for a first round ko loss as wilder v arreola will be . albeit wilder might take a look for a round realise arreola is easy to t and there for the taking and then its just how long arreola can take it for

going by his knockdown in his last fight/ not to long anymore is my guess.

    wilder wins ko 2

I quite like Wilder as a person and defended him when the issue with Povetkin arose. However, if he does choose Arreola I will have to criticize him as Arreola is shot.

Perhaps Arreola ended up thanking his trainer from saving him from that beating that Vitali gave him years ago.

Had the trainer not saved him from those additional 2 rounds, perhaps Arreola's career would've gone differently and he wouldn't have been in position to partially recover and receive so many gifts and title shots.

Im surpised the usual Wilder fan crew isn't here to defend Arreola as an opponent. It seems this would be too embarrassing even by their standards.

I'm surprised by this as well. There is at least 3-4 posters on here that would try and defend this. But I guess you're right it's too PATHETIC.

It is very convenient that Povetkin was busted for meldonium and Wilder can continue on his epic bum-of-the-month campaign, isn't it ?

Extremely CONvenient. And lou dibella just said Haye not in the running for Wilder's next fight because his last fight was tough to watch. Guess he didn't watch Arreola get punched around the ring by never tested Kauffman.

It won't be very competitive, given the current version of Areolla. But, Areolla is a good name that will help sell tickets and draw casual viewers. This might be one of Wilder's most watched fights, up to now.

Can't be mad at Wilder for trying to make some of that money back he lost from the PEDvetkin debacle. Blame MELvetkin.

Can't blame Povetkin at all for Wilder's choice of opponent. So many better options out there and plenty WAYYYY more deserving. This is a disgrace. If it happens. I still don't think team Wilder has the nerve to sell this to the American people, despite the reports.

    :rofl:lol::rofl:lol::rofl

What a joke. Arreola is totally washed up, yet as Nichols and Sconiers proved, you don't have to be any good to put that glass-jawed fraud Wilder on the canvas!!

How in the hell does Arreola keep getting title shots?
